A delegation of nearly 20 Chamber members met with Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, Representative Tom Emmer, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and — for the first time — the Embassy of Mexico. he Embassy of Mexico in Washington, D.C., welcomed a delegation of 22 representatives from the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce, led by its
President Julie Lunning. The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen regional economic ties across North America through the
exchange of information, data, and strategic perspectives. During the meeting, embassy officials delivered a comprehensive overview of the U.S.–Mexico trade relationship, emphasizing the depth of bilateral integration and the central role of shared value chains across key industries. The discussion also addressed the main challenges and opportunities surrounding the upcoming review of the United States– Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA), underscoring the importance of regulatory certainty and continued cooperation to sustain regional competitiveness. A key component of the session was the sharing of targeted economic data relevant to Minnesota’s business community. Embassy representatives provided insights into trade trends, investment flows, and factors shaping Mexico’s business environment, offering participants a clear and current understanding of market conditions.
