Explore the classical art of the “Katana” (Japanese sword), made famous by the Samurai and Ninjas. This dynamic class covers all aspects of swordsmanship (Kenjutsu) including “laido” (quick draw), “Bokken-jutsu” (practical exchange), and “Kendo” (dynamic application). Tai Chi
T’ai Chi Ch’uan is an internal Chinese Martial Art. Exploring and practicing the forms promotes relaxation, balance, coordination, flexibility and strength. Beginning/Intermediate Knitting
This class is for both beginners and intermediates. Beginners will explore the basics: cast on, knit and purl stitch, ribbing, binding off, fringing and weaving in ends. Intermediate students will explore pattern reading, shaping, increasing/ decreasing, lace, cable and more. Canine Etiquette - Basic Dog Obedience
Help make your pet a more well-mannered companion. Classes will focus on skills such as sit, down, stay, come, heel, and dog-to-dog socialization. Learn techniques for such common problems as jumping, barking, destructive chewing, etc. *First class is with Humans only, NO DOGS, upstairs in the recreation center. All dogs must be at least 4 months old and fully vaccinated.
