Lumber Firm Reorgcnized

Reorganization of the Robert Dollar Lumber Company at Glendale, Oregon, with promotion of Arthur S. Kenney to the position of manager, was announced September 23 by company of;ficials in San Francisco.

Thomas Nlehl, Jr. becomes manag'er of all logging operations for the firm in Oregon; T. H. Mehl, Sr. continues as vice president rvith headquarters at Eugene; A. ForsIund remains as sales manager; and Douglas Dollar, son of the late Harry B. Dollar, has resigned, thc announcement said.

R. Stanley Dollar, president of the company, and his son, R. Stanley Dollar, Jr., vice president, announced the c1-ranges.

"This is the first step in the huge expansion progranr the Robert Dollar company is inaugurating wherein our mills 'lvill be enlarged to produce more lumber in an effort to help aller,iate the acute housing shortage," the elder Dollar said.

Will Attend Nqtioncrl Retcilers Annuql Meeting

Hamilton, secretary-manager, Southern California Retail Lumber Association, Los Angeles; Leslie Lynch, Patten-Blinn Lumber Co., Los Angeles; Cy Irving, Western Lumber Co,. San Diego, and Sterling Stofle, Western Hardlvood Lumber Co., Los Angeles, will attend the National Retail Lumber Dealers Association meeting October 28-31 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.

Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Lynch are members of the board of directors of the National association.

Lumber Association secretaries attending the meeting rvill hold a Secertary's Conference on October 26.

Ntr. Hamilton rvill also attend the American Trade Association Executives annual convention on November 10-12 at Virginia .Beach, Va.

Britislr Columbia, shipping 90,743,244 board'feet of lurnber to rvorlcl markets in August, accounted for more than half the total exports from the Pacific North.rvest during the month. Total for the U.S. and Canadian Northwest region was 174,669,623, according to Pacific Lumber Inspection Bureau.

Of British Columbia's share the United Kingdom received 65,282,234 ieet. Others were Egypt and Palestine, 5,455,697 feet ; China, 4,561,135; Africa, 3,598,910, and France, 3,001,279.
