Barr Lumber Growing, Moving

Barr Lumber has acquired a sixth location and is relocating its headquarters from its Rosemead, Ca., yard to San Bernardino, site of its distribution center.

Central operations and key personnel including president John Shirley are moving over the next few months, with accounts payable to be the last function transferred.

In addition, in late July Barr acquired Century Lumber Co., Long Beach, Ca., from Matt Clemo, who is staying on as general manager.
