USE:

Clear Fir-Sawn's consistent high quality appea ance and range of sizes and patterns make it a ideal economical siding for residential and con mercial construction.

It may be applied direct to studs in many hous designs, thus serving as both siding and sheathint or may be applied over any Vpe sheathing. Fi Sawn has high strength values that are importar in engineering design of shear walls.

APPEARANCE:

Clear Fir-Sawn face veneers are free of knol and knotholes. Face patches are few and ar limited to wood shims and wood router oatcher Router patches are rectangular in shape to blen with the grain and texture. No boat patches ar useo.

The surface is handsomely saw-textured, n< just roughed up, and provides an excellent surfac for stain or paint finishes.

PRODUCT ACCEPTANCE:

Fir-Sawn is manufactured to the specifications < U. S. Product Standard PS 1, to the America Plywood Association's "303 Specialty Siding" an is stamped with the APA grade trademark. lt con plies with FHA standards and gradestamp include an FHA reference marking. lts use is approve by all the major regional building codes and mor local codes.

This is typical Clear Fir-Sawn appearance, with Pattern T1:11 grooves spaced B| Available patterns are described on reverse slde.

All Palco Fir-Sawn plies are 118" thick. Panels with 1/8" thi( face veneers are distinctly superior to panels with thinner fac veneers.

Fir-Sawn units are covered with good quality heavy corrugated jackets for protection in transit and storage. These also provide easy identification.

Shipment of Fir-Sawn to Pacific Lumbers customers can be in straight carloads or truckloads, and in mixed carloads or truckloadswith redwood lumber and plywood and firlumber uppers. Two other grades of Fir-Sawn plywood siding are available: Select grade which has an average of 12 synthetic patches per panel. lt complies with and exceeds APA siding grade 303-18 S/W

Sound grade which has an average of 12 boat shaped veneer patches. lt complies with and exceeds APA siding grade 303-18-W.
