Experience the energy and excitement of Louisville As Louisville, Kentucky’s only waterfront hotel, the legendary Galt House Hotel provides convenient access to entertainment venues, museums, theaters, and distilleries. The 1,310 guestrooms, suites, and residences are reflective of Louisville’s energy, excitement, and contemporary spirit. Originally opened in 1835, the Galt House Hotel was built on the site where Dr. W.C. Galt once lived. After the original hotel burned to the ground, it was rebuilt shortly thereafter only to close its doors in 1919 when many businesses were moving away from the riverfront which decreased traffic to the area. New problems that are solved with unique answers. What’s your favorite family recipe? I don’t cook :( What is your favorite family holiday tradition? We throw a big brunch on Christmas day.

After three decades of operation, it was time for the Galt House Hotel towers to undergo a major renovation. Bryan Ashley worked hand-inhand with Swope Design Group to bring to life the retro vibe the ownership company was searching for. A moodiness was created in the lobby, bars, and restaurants; while guestrooms were designed with lighter and brighter colors creating a classic, clean environment.
