This qualification encourages an appreciation of religious thought and its contribution to individuals, communities and societies. The qualification does this through an enquiring, critical and reflective approach to the study of religion. It also helps develop a holistic understanding of religion.

How is the course structured and graded? This course is suitable for any pupil with a keen interest in the subject as you do not have to have studied Religious Studies at GCSE in order to take this course. This would be a good course for pupils who want to continue their learning to A Level and beyond.

Will this course be suitable for me? The course teaches pupils to become independent learners, problem solvers and critical thinkers.

What could this course lead to? Those wishing to continue their education at university in subjects such as Law, Teaching or Nursing may find this qualification useful. This subject will improve your ability to understand different viewpoints and take part confidently in debating. Completion of this course will also earn UCAS points which will aid in any application to university.
