Richard Drew ’04 has been named Brebeuf’s boys head lacrosse coach. Richard earned a degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University, and is currently employed as a chemical engineer with Dow AgroSciences.

Daniel Kent ’07 was named one of 10 winners for the Google Zeitgeist Young Minds Competition.

Evan Fitzgerald ’06 passed the June 2011 Level I CFA exam, of which only 39% of candidates passed. Sherard Clinkscales ’89 has accepted a position as an associate athletic director at North Carolina State University. He will preside over strength/conditioning, sports medicine, student services, baseball, men's/ women's Soccer and wrestling. Sherard is a Brebeuf Jesuit Athletic Hall of Fame inductee. Margot (Sands) Rosenstein ’90 and her husband, Alex, welcomed Ari Newman Rosenstein on June 3, 2011. Ari joins big brothers Joe, 6, and Zeke, 2.

Jennifer (Infanger) Fitzgerald ’97 and her husband, Brian, welcomed Colin Robert on May 9, 2011. Colin weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces. Matt Kirby ’97 married Julie Aud on April 9, 2011, at the Indiana Landmarks Center in downtown Indianapolis. Brebeuf alums, Nick Perry ’97 was the best man and Mia (Kirby) Platz ’99 of Columbia, Mo., was a bridesmaid. The groom is a project director with Develop Indy, and the bride is the Chief of Staff in the Office of Indiana First Lady Cheri Daniels.

The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) Illinois Chapter welcomed Courtney Lewis ’97 onto the Board of Directors.

Brian Lowry '06 earned his B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University in May 2010. Brian graduated with honors of “highest distinction.” He is a member of Omega Chi Epsilon, engineering honor fraternity and served as treasurer. Brian accepted a fellowship from Stanford University where he is currently pursuing his master’s and doctoral degrees in chemical engineering. In April 2011, he earned a three-year National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship. Courtney Sampson ’06 married Douglas Arango of Petaluma, Calif. on Oct. 29, 2011, at Common Ground Christian Church, Indianapolis. The couple now resides in Mooresville, Ind. Courtney is a program coordinator at the Indiana Chamber of Commerce in Indianapolis. Ellie Crawford ’07 was recently chosen to have her article posted on the USA Today College website. She has also been asked to write an additional article. Ellie recently graduated from Capital University in

Marianne Nieman ’98 started a new job this past August. She is working at Education Pioneers as the Program Manager for the NYC Metro Area. Education Pioneers is a human capital organization working to increase talent in the public education sector, and they do this through recruiting and training the best and brightest graduate students to work in education leadership positions.

University of Southern California graduate Cara Magnabosco ’07 was selected as a Fulbright Fellow for the 2011-2012 academic year. She will be studying arctic biology and atmospheric chemistry along with working in the Longyearbyen CO2 Lab.

Todd Pierson ’09, currently at the University of Georgia, has been named a recipient of the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation Scholarship. He is one of 80 recipients of the national award, which recognizes college sophomores and juniors who are pursuing careers in environmental or Native American issues. Todd is a UGA Foundation Fellow and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in ecology.

Zeitgeist Young Minds is an international competition supported by Google and hosted on YouTube to find pioneers, changemakers and the leaders of tomorrow who have made a positive difference in the world. Daniel was selected for the Young Minds competition because of his work with Net Literacy (www.netliteracy.org), an all-volunteer nonprofit that he founded in middle school to reduce the digital divide.
