My name is Brayan Romero. Hailing from the beautiful landscapes of Colombia, my journey in architecture has been a testament to dedication and effort. I got my bachelor's degree in architecture from the University Catholic of Colombia where I traversed through academic challenges and triumphs, shaping my identity as a student and architect. During my time there, I was fortunate to receive an honorable mention in an architectural competition that involved universities across Colombia. This recognition meant much to me, as it showed that my passion and hard work were paying off and it can be a conduit for social change and cultural enrichment through the architecture. Additionally, I was honored to receive another mention for being a good student throughout my studies. These acknowledgments encouraged me to keep pushing myself and striving for excellence in everything I do. After finishing my degree, I decided to take a big step and move to San Antonio, Texas with a student visa to immerse myself in the English language and broaden my horizons improving my English skills. It has been a challenging but rewarding experience so far, and I have even received two honorable mentions for my efforts in language learning. Currently, I stand on the precipice of a new chapter in my academic life, I am excited about the opportunity to continue my education taking a master’s degree this year. However, I am looking forward to the opportunity of getting experience in the career that I chose while I start my new chapter.
