William Brown (Ray) is a struggling musician convinced he has more talent than he actually exhibits. His attempts to convince others of his musical genius are further stunted when he encounters a creative roadblock brought on by the arrival of a new neighbor, the noisy and repulsive Vlad (Winter). Mustering the courage to stand up for himself, William confronts Vlad, which ends horribly with William inadvertently impaling Vlad. William mentally spirals, and the bodies begin to pile up.
