Fireworks raise £3,486 for Mayor’s charities

n Sunday 6th November 2016, Bradley Stoke Town Council hosted its annual fireworks event for the fourteenth year running. It was another successful year, where thousands came out to enjoy the fireworks once more. This year, a total of £3,486 was raised for the Mayor’s charities through donations, with £2,996 of the total coming from bucket collections and the remaining £490 coming from on-site traders (donut and burger vans). The charities being supported by this year’s Mayor, Elaine Hardwick, are Heartful Dodgers and Transplant Sport UK. Speaking at the November council meeting, Cllr Hardwick said: “The event could not run without the very good volunteer marshal and bucket
