Little Acers rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted
Pre-school within Sure Start Centre at Bowsland Green Primary School praised by inspectors

Bradley Stoke pre-school is celebrating after being awarded a clean sweep of ‘outstanding’ marks in a recent Ofsted inspection. Little Acers, which is based in the grounds of Bowsland Green Primary School and has been running since 2006, was visited by an inspector in mid-May and she concluded that the quality and standard of Early Years provision at the pre-school is now ‘outstanding’ in all four assessment categories. The latest result is a step up from the ‘good’ grade awarded to the setting at its previous inspection in June 2015. In her summary of key findings, the Ofsted inspector praises the management and staff for demonstrating a strong commitment to continually improving and developing the pre-school. Staff are said to be “highly evaluative” and use their findings to make changes which benefit the children and their families. The inspector found the children “extremely motivated to learn” and noted that they show a keen interest and enthusiasm in the activities provided, and display high levels of concentration. Parents were found to be “extremely happy” with the care that their children receive and it was noted that staff work closely with parents to support the children with their development. Reacting to the report, Little Acers manager Stacy Ashdown said: During our recent inspection we were praised for our approach to learning.
