Bo Nicholson

Bo Nicholson is deeply rooted in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he was raised by his two brothers, William and Henry. The values he developed in this city have shaped his personal life and professional journey, making it an enduring influence throughout his career. After high school, Bo moved to Athens, Georgia, to attend the University of Georgia, where he earned his degree from the Terry College of Business in 2010. During his time in Athens, his love for music took center stage when he joined the band Mama’s Love. The band toured the Southeastern U.S. and recorded original music at renowned studios, such as Southern Ground in Atlanta. Working with the respected producer John Keane, he learned the importance of collaboration, discipline, and dedication—skills that continue to guide him in his financial career. Although Bo eventually decided to move away from music as a full-time profession, he still kept music. He regularly performs with Steamroom Etiquette, a local cover band in Raleigh, and occasionally reunites with former bandmates for special performances. Music continues to be a creative outlet that provides him with balance and fulfillment outside of work. In 2012, Bo began his professional career at Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor. He participated in the firm’s challenging Practice Management Development program. He built his client base through traditional grassroots methods such as cold calling, door-to-door outreach, and hosting educational seminars. These early efforts were instrumental in shaping his client-first approach to financial advising, which emphasizes proactive service and relationship building.
