he SARA NY Council celebrated its 31st SARA NY Design Awards June 4 at The New Yorker Hotel, bringing together architects, designers and students for an evening recognizing achievement across the profession. Drawing entries from across the country and around the world, the annual program honored work spanning a wide range of categories and project types, with 48 professional firms and 24 students receiving 2026 Design Awards. The evening opened with a cocktail reception and live musical entertainment from Natalie Pierro and Ross Lower before turning the spotlight to this year’s honorees. Saatva sponsored a student grant awarded to Aatika Hayat of The New School while SARA NY President Tzara Peterson presented the Kathryn Marie Firneis Student Scholarship to Yale University student Na rye Han.
