BRIGHTON NAKED BIKE RIDE SUN 12 JUNE WWW.WORLDNAKEDBIKERIDE.ORG/UK It’s summer and everyone has pulled their shorts out of their suitcases to head down to Brighton beach. However, if you want to go a step further, you can! Brighton Naked Bike Ride will return to the city’s streets on Sun 12 June, as part of Bike Week. The event will be taking place in over 50 cities around the globe, including 15 in the UK. Celebrating ten years since the first Brighton ride, the Naked Bike Ride aims to encourage low-carbon and planet-friendly transportation, as well as body power. And what better way to do so than to get your kit off and cycle around Brighton. The ride will also highlight ten environmentally friendly changes that have taken place on Brighton roads since its 2006 inception, including: new improved cycle lanes, advanced traffic ‘go’ lights for cyclists and more deliveries by cycle courier. Disclaimer: your pizza deliveryman will not arrive at your door naked. Participation is free, so if you fancy having the wind blow through your hair – and every other nook and cranny – head to The Level, Union Road, central Brighton at 12 noon. If you’ve managed to avoid a grazed bum during the eight-mile endeavour, join the post-ride picnic at Black Rock naturist beach and let it all hang out with your fellow riders.

Here’s a new night packed with Chicago and Detroit house, with plenty of funkfueled techno thrown in for good measure. The latest offering from Stonewall Productions it promises an inclusive and friendly crowd. Dance music innovator, Underworld founder and the boss of both Underwater and Detone record labels boss, Darren Emerson will be showing how he’s remained at the forefront of electronica, techno and house across the last three decades. Joining him is the legendary DJ T. At the forefront of the first wave of house music that swept Europe, he’s made his name as a highly skilled producer and an A&R with an uncanny ability to nurture new talent. Formerly one half of seminal tech house duo Layo & Bushwacka, Just Be’s roots are in raw underground warehouse and illegals parties. Nowadays his sound is a fine fusion of breaks, techno, house, ambient, downtempo and ready to rock the debut Pier1. Completing the line-up is Enzo Siffredi. Creator and main man of Minimal Kids & Wired, his aim is to remain innovative, experimental and indefinable. Open to all, with some world class artists, this is one not to miss.
