Co-Owners, Andriano Djula and Raffaele Crispino have extensive backgrounds in the restaurant industry and decided to combine their skills, knowledge, and experiences into creating something special. Italy. We were thrilled to sit down with these two gentlemen to learn what makes this Italian restaurant so authentic and delicious.

OTM: In a sea of Italian restaurants, what makes Crispina different? Crispina: We like to bring Italy to you. When you walk into our restaurants, we want you to feel like you are actually in Italy. We have beautiful music playing, lights low for the romantic feel, freshly made pasta daily, and homemade desserts. We ARE authentic Italy!

OTM: I know personally from eating at your restaurant, your food is delicious and does taste fresh. How do you achieve that? Crispina: One of the main characteristics of authentic Italian cuisine is its simplicity. With many dishes made up of few ingredients, we rely heavily on the quality of the ingredients rather than the complexity of preparation. Most all of our ingredients, except the water, come from Italy. I (part owner and master Chef Raffaele) being a Napoli native, know the importance of using the freshest ingredients giving you a taste of Italy right in the heart of Atlanta. Our recipes are authentic family recipes straight from our hometown of Naples, “Napoli street food”.

Crispina Restaurante and Pizzeria is #1 for pizza in the Kennesaw area, we are proud to have brought the first wood fire pizza oven to Kennesaw.

OTM: I am glad you mentioned that, your wood fire pizza oven is pretty spectacular! Crispina: Our wood burning oven is a “Stafano Ferrara”, it is over 6000 pounds and directly from Naples.

OTM: WOW! You were serious about bringing Italy to the community. What do you like best about serving Cobb County? Crispina: We appreciate the love and support we received from the community since we have opened. Everyone has been very welcoming, and we are grateful for the acceptance of this beautiful community.

As a matter of fact, we signed our lease in December of 2019 for our second location during the surge of the COVID pandemic. We had to quickly adjust and pivot to ensure our customers felt safe. We created various options such as: UberEATS, carryout and in person dining while strictly following the social distancing guidelines. We even pulled tables outside into the parking lot at our Vinings location to keep the 6-foot distance between tables.

I think our customers truly appreciated our dedication to them as we appreciate their dedication to us.

OTM: In addition to your vast menu, you offer wine and a full bar? Crispina: Yes, 80% of our wine is Italian with 20 wines by the glass. We also offer a fully stocked bar. By the way, our menu offers vegan and gluten free options as well.
