Callahan & Martella Electrical Rapaura Timber Ltd Choosing a great electrician doesn’t have to be difficult. It’s as easy as phoning Callahan & Martella Electrical! What began as a small business set up by Neil Callahan and Ian Martella in 2001 has grown significantly, from a team of two to a team of 14. Behind the business’s success is a strong local emphasis, ‘taking care of locals with the very best customer service.’ “Our service is very important, it starts with a smile on our end of the phone through to organising an electrician to be on your doorstep. “We always go the extra mile for customers and ensure our electricians are equipped with the skills and tools needed to give top results,” Ian said. Callahan & Martella Electrical provide electrical solutions in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors and are particularly knowledgeable when it comes to complete electrical designs. The team will also take care of everything from automatic doors and LED lighting through to specialist irrigation systems for viticulture. For a free, no obligation quote and specialist advice for your next electrical project contact the team at Callahan & Martella Electrical.

Ken Ham’s Music Works

Graham Sutton of Rapaura Timber Ltd has been a Blenheim business owner for a number of years and knows the importance of supporting the local community. “I strongly believe in locals supporting locals. By sourcing products from local businesses you are helping to keep people employed and your money stays in the community,” he says. Graham has owned and operated Rapaura Timber Ltd for 20 years after first purchasing it as a small operation, then growing it to its current size. “We are very focused on providing locally owned and produced products and are the only independent sawmill in Blenheim that supplies to the public. “We have our own treating plant, we machine all our timber and carry out stress grading on site. This enables us to have one of the largest stocks of treated timber available to the public and trade,” Graham says. By employing local people, you can count on the staff at Rapaura Timber Ltd to take good care of all your timber needs, from vineyard development, retaining walls and domestic projects, through to building wharves in the Marlborough Sounds. “Visit us at our Hammerichs Road site, email us, check out our webpage or even watch our virtual tour of the yard on YouTube,” Graham says.

Ken Ham’s Music Works has long been a warm and welcoming place where those who are musically minded can call their own. Located on Scott Street, Ken Ham’s Music Works is proud to be one of Marlborough’s longest standing businesses. “We are doing what we set out to do 30 years ago and are still happily doing so,” owner Ken Ham says. Ken and wife Karenne have worked hard to not only share their passion and love for music, but to also encourage people to pick up an instrument and try it for themselves. “Music is very social, it’s fun and brings people together and is good for the soul. “We invite the community to come into the store and see us, even if it’s just for a chat to find out what’s new and different and to talk to like minded people,” Ken says. The business specialises in everything from grand pianos through to guitar picks as well as expert advice from staff on all aspects of music. “We have been really fortunate to have superb staff including Mitch Alderlieste who is the latest young member of the team,” he says. For everything musical call in and see the team at Ken Ham’s Music Works.
