Perfect time for autumn and the onset of winter, Gira has launched its room temperature controller.

This new addition to the Gira System 3000 product family works in tandem with the wireless Gira eNet SMART HOME, as well as wired in KNX smart home systems like the Gira HomeServer and the Gira X1 mini server.

The Gira System 3000 is designed to be used seamlessly with the exclusive Gira smart home app, which offers market-leading security and data protection, while keeping your homes HVAC how you like it, when you like it.

The new Gira room temperature controller lets users set the perfect room temperature for day and night. Importantly, there’s minimal installation required as the normal 230v power line is used, so there is no need for extra cables, a network or even a server, which is usually necessary for smart home systems.

Once the room temperature controller is installed, homeowners simply access it via Bluetooth and the appropriate app. Then all can be controlled remotely from a smart device even if not at home.

It´s intelligent as the times can be set so it´s warm when consumers rise from bed and the heating will then adjust to a predetermined level whilst they are out. The heating will only switch on if the temperature falls below the specified minimum temperature, which is not only convenient but also saves unnecessary heating costs, so there are no surprises when you get the gas or electricity bill.

Another great advantage of smart heating is that it provides an ability to use timers to

set different temperatures in different rooms so that the heating in each room is at the optimum level only when in use. For example, the bathroom heating can be set to reach the ideal temperature before the user takes a shower to ensure a comfortable start to the day, thanks to an automatic pre-heating function. And when the children are on their way to school, room temperature controllers in their rooms will switch off the heating and turn it back on before they come home in the afternoon. There’s also the option to take control and boost your heating if there’s a sudden cold snap. The beauty of today’s top-flight smart home technology is that its possible to layer functions so that in addition to smart heating it´s possible to automate lights and blinds with an integrated system and control them via apps.

Every aspect of the Gira heat elements are designed for easy retrofitting so one can upgrade their house by using the latest wireless solutions with ease.
