INTERVIEW with Steve Birch, Vogue (UK)

THE CRAFT BEHIND THE BRAND

Steve Birch, Sales Director of leading British designer and manufacturer of radiators and towel warmers Vogue UK, takes time out to talk to The Installer magazine and tells us what the company is doing to help its skilled tradesman.

“At Vogue (UK), our metalsmiths have spanned generations of family, seeing sons; fathers and even grandfathers work the very same factory floor. Even though Technology has rapidly advanced, Vogue has never forgotten the fundamental importance of quality craftsmanship and the value of its skilled artisans: which haven’t strayed far from traditional timehonoured methods and processes. 

I think it’s important that we continue to produce authentic design and manufacturing platforms at Vogue to encourage and motivate the younger generations to take up this skilled craft otherwise, quality British design and manufacture will simply cease to exist: if this were to happen I’m sure that installer wouldn’t be happy having to fit cheap imported products?

Vogue has created a family environment that has engendered a unique staff loyalty who wants to create a ‘quality product’ like no other.
