Gérard Dabbadie (Hossegor, France) A former European surf champion, Gérard possesses over 30 years of shaping experience. Respected as a master craftsman of the surfboard, Gerard has honed his skills on boards ranging from super fast high performance shortboards, through to those seeking a fun ride on a mid-length board. A highly regarded shaper, he has crafted boards for many of his country’s top surfers and is an esteemed member of our BIC Sport Research and Design Team. Peter Pan (Rhode Island, US)

An icon on the US east coast waves, Peter has been surfing for 40 years and was inducted into the Surfing Hall of Fame in 1996. A versatile waterman, Peter has directed numerous surfing competitions and holds countless shortboarding, longboarding, bodyboarding and kneeboarding titles. A colourful character and one of surfing’s greats, he has been an integral part of the BIC Sport Research and Design Team for nearly a decade.

Bob Pearson (California, US)

With over 25 years shaping for some of the world’s leading surfers, Bob is the head shaper of the respected Pearson Arrow Surfboard Company. One of few whose reputation for quality shapes encompasses both innovative shortboard and longboard creations, Bob’s extensive design insight and surfing know-how led him to create our renowned 10’0’’ Noserider and he is a key member of our BIC Sport Research and Design Team.

Nat Young & Darrell “Rooster” Dell (Australia)

Synonymous with surfing and holder of countless world surfing, this dynamic duo combines some 80 years of surfing experience with an intense ardour for using modern technology to encourage surfing excellence. Nat may have won the first of his many world titles some 40 years ago, but he has lost none of the intensity, passion and ability to surf on nearly any board on any wave, anywhere, anytime. His domination of first shortboarding and then longboarding has seen him become one of surfing’s ‘tribal elders’. Nat continues to provide an invaluable contribution to the BIC Sport Research and Design Team. Darrel’s unassuming manner and superior surfing style has seen him quietly influencing Australian longboarding ever since he first shaped a board and walked its nose. Born and bred on Queensland’s beaches, Darrell is one of Australia’s seminal underground shapers and created boards for some of Australia’s and the world’s best longboarders for over 35 years.
