BEYOND BALDY....

Most everyone knows that Sun Valley is here because of the development of the ski area, the country’s first ski resort, founded in 1936.

This Sun Valley Insider’s Guide, however, is dedicated to what should be on your list to do if you are experiencing the Wood River Valley (and beyond) for the first time, and you’re not going to spend the day on alpine skis, Nordic skis, or a snowboard.

Keep in mind that the following is a subjective list, and is not trying to suggest that these “must-do’s” are the only things, or the best things, to do in the valley. But after years of experience, what follows in this guide seems to almost always “deliver the goods,” for both locals and tourists alike.
