Elmer Tzalam has spent the past seven years working in a chocolate forest. As BFREE's Cacao Farm Manager, his work involves not only growing cacao but in analyzing best practices and searching for solutions to the many challenges of farming in the jungle.

Guatemalan cacao expert, Erick Ak, visited BFREE in August to offer training to cacao farm staff and other cacao farmers. He focused on increasing production using better grafting techniques and other farm management practices.
