Ambassador of Burundi in France. Permanent Delegate to UNESCO Special Representative of the Head of State at the International Organization of la Francophonie, OIF Born in Burundi, Africa on July 14th, Dr. Christine Nina NIYONSAVYE is a qualified Doctor from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Burundi in 1990. After the death of her father in December 1990 She became responsible for a large family of seven children with a mother. She moved to Gabon and while there remained a fervent Catholic. Following advice from a friend from Brazzaville she obtained a Bible, the Jerusalem Bible which was the source of her attachment to the Word of God, she said “I found exact words which gave me hope in a foreign country far from mine.” Alone in Gabon, she becomes twice single mother and is confronted with a life where more than ever God alone would be her help. During her search of God she was disappointed by the Catholic Church who refused to baptize her children in order to restore order with her God without being registered to marry the father of her children! Always in her frantic quest for God, she is recovered by the Bwiti; an initiatory rite of the populations of Central Gabon. She practiced Bwiti from 1996 to 2001. During those six years she will live a new experience “the African way of worshiping God.” But of what God? In a new life with “God” she then marries another Bwiti fervent follower Henri Paul Bourobou-Bourobou and conceived her third son. Attached to the Word of God, reading the Bible regularly, she quickly discerns the inconsistency between the Word of God and the practice of the Bwiti religion. She was convinced that only Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

It is the day of the summer solstice on June 21, 2001 that Christine Nina accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of her life, once again but this time definitely. But since one must make the choice between marriage in the Bwiti religion versus the Lord Jesus in the church, the choice was hard. She leaves the esoteric circle of the Bwiti and is wholeheartedly committed to her faith in Jesus alone. It was in the same year that the Lord opened the doors as part of her professional career, after a trip to Canada she joined the United Nations system in November 2001. She will then take several functions and travel to different countries in West Africa. In 2003, she left Gabon and resided in Sweden for a period of retirement. It was a time of retreat during which she spent intense moments meditating on the Word of God, and in prayer. In November 2004, Dr. Christine Nina NIYONSAVYE settles permanently in Belgium. God had to intervene! Young, prayerful and immersed in the Bible, she met Bert Elias in 2005 with whom she has been married since 2010. In 2006, Dr. Christine resumed work at the United Nations at the World Health Organization in Equatorial Guinea and then at UNICEF in the Central African Republic. The work of God has always marked its passage in different countries for her. Returning to Belgium in September 2009, she committed herself to God’s service at the Chrétien Lumière des Nations Church. She attended classes at the Bible Institute of the Light of Nations in 2010 to 2011 and at the same time she engaged online courses through Living Word Christian Center, Dr. Bill Winston Ministries, graduating in June 2011. It is in July of the same year that Dr. C.N. NIYONSAVYE is recruited as a civil servant in the Federal Public Service under the responsibility of Public Health in Belgium. During this time at the CCLN Church in Brussels, Christine Nina is devoted to serving God in the Praise Team and had the opportunity to lead for a fairly critical moment in the life of the Church. It was also in 2009 that she integrated politics in Belgium to find a way to help Africans in general and Burundians in particular. In 2013 that a burning desire to return to her native Burundi came up in the heart of Dr. Christine Nina NIYONSAVYE. Nothing could stop her anymore because the time of God was functioning her. Questions arose of course concerning her husband, and the children? She remembered obedience is better than sacrifice because He had already led her to return. Therefore, in June, 2014, she arrives at the Ministry of Health of Burundi. At the same time she integrates her Christian family and actively engages in the service of God within the Community of the Rocks of Burundi (CERB). The Church of the Rock reminding her of the name of the Church “The Rock” of the Ministries Christ Revealed to the Nations, in Gabon where everything began on this great day of her life June 21, 2001. In March 2017, Dr. Christine Nina NIYONSAVYE was propelled to the highest rank in the Diplomatic world as an Ambassador in behalf of her native land Burundi. It is only through the Almighty grace of the Father, the Eternal God of hosts to whom she honors and glorifies in returning praise in the precious Name of Jesus!

I never thought in a million years that God could or would use a broken woman like me in the capacity that He has over the years. Coming from a lifestyle of drug-trafficking and exotic dancing, God delivered and called me into the world of business and ministry. It is truly amazing how God can shift and reshape your life so beautifully that it will look like your past is a fictional story, although the reality is, my story is my truth. Before God blessed me to achieve the accomplishments of becoming a multiple #1 Amazon bestselling author, business owner, speaker, business strategist, and minister, I was a woman imprisoned by my past. Low self-esteem, insecurity, and people pleasing was a part of my daily identity. Trauma and drama became my normal way of life due to my unhealthy environment: being raped around the age of 10, in foster care for over four years because of my motherâ€™s drug addiction and having no father figure as a young girl. This statement may seem rather insensitive, but one of the best days of my life is the day that my siblings and I were removed from my motherâ€™s home when our apartment was raided for drugs. Why, you may ask? As a young girl I remember praying, asking God to take us away from my mom. I knew that because of her love for us she would work to become clean from drugs if we were taken away. I was correct. When that day came that was her moment of intervention and my path toward self-discovery. It wasnâ€™t until I was almost 40 years old that I realized that the little girl in me was still influencing my decisions. Although I blame no one for the decisions that I have made, I do recognize that my decisions were influenced by my environment and the internal void I felt as a child. Love, attention, validation, and normalcy was what I desired. It took years for me to accept that Jesus died for me to live free from my past and that it was okay to prosper as a child of God. Being courageous enough to embrace my true self was not an overnight metamorphosis, it was a journey that took years and often moments of divine encounters with God. It is a sad truth, but many are afraid to share the painful reality of their stories for fear of judgment, or maybe it is because they rather pretend as if it never happened. Telling my story is not always comfortable, but I tell it freely in hopes that it will inspire, ignite, and provoke people to live beyond their past and present situations. Many may see life obstacles as a negative, but I see them as an opportunity to show others the way out.

Although I, Yakinea Marie, am a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, author of 8 books, speaker, business strategist, and Founder and CEO of the I Am Woman Business Network, along with SheCEO Global, which supports women entrepreneurs in increasing their profits, visibility, and clientele; those are just titles I wear, not who I am. At my CORE I am a woman called to help God’s people understand who they are in God according to Genesis 1:26-28. How can we truly live a fulfilled life when there is a lack of understanding and revelation of our “divine” identity. I have learned that God has given each of us the power to write our stories one decision at a time.

My first book “The Strength of a Woman”, which started my healing process from low selfesteem, was written to encourage women to live on purpose and to reintroduce them to their power. “I believe God places people in our lives for certain seasons to groom us for what is forthcoming. After college I got a job working in the corporate world and coaching basketball part time. Doing whatever it took to get to practice in the evenings and games on the weekends became an art for me challenging myself to maintain time management. My love and passion for coaching was blatantly obvious to friends and finally one asked me “Why don’t you do this full time?” I had never been asked that before and my eyes were opened to the possibilities that day. It was possible to make coaching my full time career. God placed it in my heart that He would provide a full time job for me in coaching I just had to trust Him. After applying all over the country…I FINALLY received my first college coaching job. God had called me to the middle on Kansas at a local junior college. The job was part-time salary which meant I would need to rely on God to help with financials as well. Did I miss God? No, I had heard from Him and I knew to accept the position and move to Kansas 14

by faith. After three days accepting the part-time position the current head coach if 18 years called me and told me she was resign. That very moment I remember my first thoughts being “God knew.” And not only did He know but He had something bigger in store for me that year. Who knew that we would make history that year and win the first EVER national championship for the college. Doesn’t God work in wonderful ways? After winning it all…I could only think - WOW that was a God thing! I remained at the college for two more years and God began to lay it on my heart to pursue another workplace and a new community to impact. I prayed and prayed that He would open what was right and give me peace in the process. I would always tell myself in the waiting period that God had another person’s life for me to touch. I found in fact He did have someone special to Him for me to minister to.

Lead in my Career One morning a got a call from a player crying extremely hard, I rushed to her side to find out that the doctor had just called and diagnosed her with a small brain tumor. I’ll never forget that day holding her in my arms until her parents arrived to take my place. Her mother thanked me in tears and said we are so happy you were here when we could not be. A few weeks later God opened a new door for me. I received a job offer to coach at Missouri Southern State University (MSSU). I felt so much peace in the transition because I knew God had His Hands over the situation. Fast forward to now…God is continuing to mold and grow me here at MSSU. I am on this amazing journey continuing to impact my players, staff and community. I believe God is working His wonders here and so the journey continues! “

In today’s competitive world of athletics women engage enthusiastically, proficiently and victoriously. Let’s take a screenshot of the Assistant Coach position for a College Women’s Basketball team. The responsibilities for an Assistant Head Coach garners meeting the needs of the Head Basketball Coach in oversight of a highly competitive women’s basketball program. The tasks involve recruiting student athletes, assisting in coordinating practices and activity travel, and promoting events and activities. To complete the list of responsibilities she assists the Head Coach in planning, directing, and coaching intercollegiate womens basketball program; develops student/athletes’ fullest potential while being regionally competitive and ethically run; ensures collegiate rules and regulation compliances. Teaching and providing quality coaching and instruction as well as administering a related curriculum is just a minute agenda. There’s the need to provide ongoing oversight of student athlete’s conduct both on and off the court; assists with conflict resolution, development of positive interpersonal relationships including campus integration with other students and faculty. Wow! That’s a serious job description that requires a unique individual equipped to administer these functions. Let’s take a look at one of America’s enthusiastic, proficient, victorious and highly anointed female basketball coaches, Chamissa Anderson. Chamissa’s ability to effectively identify and resolve problems while maintaining confidentiality, a strong personal work ethic and high level of personal integrity comes from maintaining a lifestyle second to none and that’s her walk with God. This doesn’t by any means say she doesn’t have challenging encounters on a day to day but the bottom line is getting things resolved and maintaining a family/team state of mind with all parties involved. Letter From Editor Nigeria and Belgium have diplomatic relations in existence dating back to 1969. During their 56th year of diplomacy the new Ambassador of Nigeria to Belgium presented Letters of Credence to His Majesty , Phillip I, King of the Belgians on Wednesday, September 17, 2017 Ambassador Udo made made history as the first female Ambassador of the Federal Republic of of Nigeria to the Kingdom of Belgium. Allegedly, no woman has had the opportunity to be appointed Ambassador of Belgian to Nigeria. Possibly, Ambassador Udo’s presence stirs the pot for change. Ambassador Udo has been described as a fine Foreign Service Officer. She truly is a career diplomat. She’s served as Nigeria’s Missions to the United Nations, then later in appointment as Director of International Organization at the Abuja Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria. Ambassador Udo’s appointment affords great opportunities for collaborations in a myriad of endeavors that include, manufacturing, trade and investment, agriculture, machinery, energy, power production and distribution, sports and culture just to name a few. The anticipation of new business alliances with a network of entrepreneurs and other influential players collaborating together is truly exciting and significant. “The path of the righteous is like a shinning light that shear brighter and brighter each day. Growing up as a child of two servants of God, who were also fasting and praying, it gradually became my normal approach and transcended everything I did. There was no acceptance of mediocrity because I heard my parents admonish other parents to teach their children to strive for the best in all things. This ‘‘high standard’’ caused me to give all my endeavours, studies, work, church activities my very best. Nothing short of that was good enough for this God that my parents introduced me to as Jehovah. Thus began my journey into distinguishing myself in each assignment that I was given. It quickly set me apart. Working two jobs to pay for my tuition, rent and upkeep while maintaining good grades to be an Honours student was normal. It was not until I was interviewing for the very competitive placement into the foreign service did I become aware that graduating with honours mattered. Getting accepted and working with colleagues that seemed to know each other from the universities they attended made me, an outsider joining from a university abroad, a loner. I plunged myself into my work determined to excel and make my parents proud. Coming from a humble home kept me focused. It did not take long for reality to hit me that I was in a male-dominated environment that catered to the well connected. My faith in God grew with each challenge and accusation of ‘‘dating the boss’’ I faced.

Growing up reading the Bible was our lifestyle and with it came scriptures that were engraved in my heart. The Lord is my shepherd; I can do all things through Him that strengthens me; I am the head and not the tail; God is for me so no one can succeed to undermine me; and many other scriptures. As I matured in my profession, so did my walk with God. The attacks however increased. Why Lord, I asked, Is this not the reward of sinners? Will everyone say that I am a terrible sinner? The vision of gold being tried in the fire to make it shine encouraged me but did not encourage moments of deep pain. Temptation to become entangled with people that seemed to be from the ‘’right part’’ were thrown at my face constantly. Those you could turn to for help would easily become embittered towards you and become your oppressor if they knew the nightmare you were living. My decision was made easy for me if God cannot do it for me then I do not need whatever promotion, placement and appointment is at stake. This was where my anchor now held fast in God and He proved Himself faithful every step of the way. As a woman in a man’s world, there must be a defining moment that will bring you to your Queen Esther and Joshua reality, I am not afraid of ‘‘fake giants’’ because with the Greater One inside of me, I can take down every giant. Each battle is a stepping stone for me to climb higher. The Journey has just begun.”

Imagine the lights, the dynamic music, the excited audience out front, the chatterof the models and personal assistants backstage, the rush, the glamour and the artistic attributes about to be displayed are all attributed to one of Detroit’s mostrenowned fashion designers and entrepreneur, Beulah Cooley. Beulah Cooley is a Native of Philadelphia, Miss. moved to Detroit, MI. in 1977 and took her gift to Milan, France in 2019 where her gift was highly recognized and asked to return. Beulah has been designing clothing since childhood. Using her dolls as mannequins and models. While in the eighth grade she began designing her own wardrobe. Cooley previously worked at Bobbie Brooks Manufacturing Company in New York City, and Barney’s Mens Shirt Manufacturing Company in Meridian, MS. While working for McFain Manufacturing Company in Pachuta, MS. McFain’s later became a contractor to manufacture the Blue Jean Denim Line for JCPenney’s. Cooley worked as a sewing machine operator for these manufacturers which enabled her to gain experience that enhanced her God-given talent. Beulah’s ability in sewing and manufacturing instilled her desire to expand her horizons and enhance her expertise. She engaged herself by enrolling in Art Illustration at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. A year later her skillset and creativity catapulted her into the arena of distinguished and influential clients that were attracted by her designs. 18

From Mississippi to Michigan to Milan Her fashions designs made her a stalwart in the industry. “Beulah’s Designer Fashion” was established, and she gained recognition as a fashion innovator. Her fashions appeared as a winner in numerous fashion competitions, on local television and as one of the top ten designers nationwide in the International Design Competition sponsored by “Canadian Mist Designers of the Future”. In 1992, one of her designs was declared a winner and was displayed in the Black Art Museum in New York City. Beulah Cooley created an unusual line of Denim Peplum Suits with French Cuffs and Covered Buttons. She loves working with unusual and distinctive fabrics. Her line of threaded Burlap Suits lined with silk and form fitting features her French Cuffs and Rhinestone Buttons that accentuate the burlap was the introduction Trademark of the BEULAH COOLEY COLLECTION, her Signature style. Her studio housed her Collection at the International Center of Apparel Design in Detroit’s illustrious Greektown. This center housed fashion designers from around the world being featured in Detroit Crain’s Business Magazine and other media sources. During this tenure she and Brandy F. Gibson, Elah Image-Fashion PR Agent for twenty-four designers were featured on TV7 “Kelly & Company.” They provided makeovers for three out of forty-five women who felt neglected and verbally abused. Cooley and Gibson felt the need to provide the remaining forty-two women with a luncheon and motivational workshop instilling self-worth the next week at the International Center of Apparel Design. Cooley, is an active community advocate as well. Cooley Designs range from conservative to high fashioned haute couture suitable for making a statement that only a woman can. She has received numerous awards and recognition for her creative ability in fashion design. The Detroit City of Detroit recognized and presented Beulah Cooley with a Testimonial Resolution. In 2004, Beulah Cooley was presented the “SPIRIT OF DETROIT AWARD” for her many accomplishments. In the same year, The Beulah Cooley Collection was also featured in numerous Ebony Fashion Fair Shows all around the world. One memorable event was the 2002-03 “Simply Spectacular” Ebony Fashion Fair where a model Rebecca Briscoe hit the runway in a transparent bronzed denim evening gown with matching coat that left the crowd in oohs and ahhs and others were absolutely speechless. (Excerpts from September 2002 Jet magazine) In 2004, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Detroit, Mi. Presented Cooley with an unusual Brass and Glass engraved trophy in recognition for her accomplishments as A Nationally Know Fashion Designer. The year 2005 brought about “THE MARCH OF DIMES FASHION EXTRAVAGANZA” at the Burton Manor in Livonia MI., Beulah Cooley showcased a collection of rainbow colors of treated burlap alone with the natural color burlap line with silk organza easy to wear. There as an overwhelming response from the audience, customers, media, and sales elevated. The Treated Burlap line is the #1 seller and has sold from east to west, north to south and continues to remain in high demand. The Beulah Cooley Collection Models “Rocked the Runway” at The 2006 Detroit Fashion Week, hosted by Brian Heath. Her beautiful designs were showcased on the Front Page of the Michigan Chronicle.

I Am Me, We Are Us! I am Brittany Michelle (Lane) Fulton born with a Christian upbringing instilled by my mom and grandmother. My inquisitive mind led me as a one year old to seize my grandmother’s (Gamma’s) study Bible and begin to turn each page as if I knew what it entailed. Later my mother invested in my private Christian schooling at Faith Christian Academy, Southfield, Michigan, the brainchild of Bishop Keith and Pastor Deborah Butler of Word of Faith International Christian Center. where it was “Excellence Or Nothing At All.” This school birthed and nurtured exceptional attorneys, ministers, scientists, neurologists, high-tech computer gurus, entertainers, and a cadre of many elite professionals. Being dressed in uniform five days a week gave me an exhilaration in following my mother to the mall on the weekends and some occasions during the week. Her impeccable style and taste for the best in fabric quality really exploded within me. She allowed me the opportunity to make selections of my own choice and when my selection missed the mark I was taught why and why not in the process. One key was avoiding trendy styles. I loved this invaluable time with my mom and exploring the art of fashion and her allowing me to transition into my own. During this time of transitioning my aunt, Michelle Jefferson was one of the top professional models in the Detroit, MI and Chicago, IL areas. The top fashion designer icons such as Adolfo and Yve Saint Laurent requested her always to showcase their lines in seasonal fashion shows. I was exposed to other impeccable ventures with my aunt such as photo shoots with celebrities such as actress, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Gospel Artist, Fred Hammond, and the legendary NBA All Star, Magic Johnson in naming a few. She included hair and make-up in her repertoire making her more marketable and one of the nation’s top make-up artists featured in “W” the epitome of fashion magazines and numerous print media and TV commercials.

Little did I know that my immediate family would be the catalyst to my leap of faith in fashion. She trained me in hair and makeup and fashion photography. Thisexpanded my horizons in fashion. She provided the complete personal image in hair and make-up and I’m so grateful. Then, there’s Dr. Brandy F. Gibson, my Gamma, Ordained Pastor, International Speaker, Author, and Entrepreneur who marketed over twenty four international fashion and local designers in her showroom in the now defunct International Center of Apparel Design that was located in Greektown, Detroit, MI. Her invaluable marketing background in corporate and as a fashion buyer showcased for me how to develop marketability with SWOT analysis and more in building my personal brand. Gamma, also designed fashion apparel and assisted her designers with impeccable designs for their respec-

tive clothing repertoires. She was highlighted on various TV shows, and media publications as well as working with some of the top in fashion field. Her clients consisted of Kenny Rogers, Janet Jackson, Salt N’ Pepper, LaVert, Heavy Weight Champion of the World, Michael Moorer. Her fashion commercial included the well celebrated Carol Gist, the first African American Miss America and top Detroit male model Regis Johnson. All three, my mom, my aunt, my Gamma have instilled the legacy of fashion, style, etiquette in me and now it’s time for my dream to manifest. Their invaluable examples and expertise has catapulted me into a dream world of designing my own. I now engage and provide the same traits with my daughter Lane and my cousin Parker both are six months apart but inseparable. Thus “We” are embarking on the fashion road of fulfillment. “Behold, the dreamer cometh!” - Genesis 37:19

The Parker Lane Story begins in 2014. My story began in 1989 as the daughter of a trendsetting business woman, the niece of an emerging model and granddaughter of a fashion maven in 1990’s Detroit. They gifted me with classic style—how to spot it and never let it go. Priceless lessons in countless closets and fitting rooms on the power ofpresentation. I’ve observed mom, dressed with mom, and shopped with mom all of my life. The youngest girls of our lineage are now gazing up at us. Family first and fashion forward, Parker Lane Clothing is the continuation of our legacy inspired by our two favorite girls, Parker and my daughter, Lane. The two are a dynamic duo blossoming as individuals and growing to understand their place in the world. Our exclusive designs grow as our girls grow. Handpicked and timeless, every piece celebrates the simplicity and sophistication which should always exist in children’s fashion. For the past month the scripture in Matthew 6: 28b30, has been placed in my heart, “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?” God, the Ultimate Designer, has made available many ideas regarding fashion. He has also established examples of His creative design and Glory upon the earth.

God tells us in in the Bible, do not to worry about what you eat, drink or wear He has promised in His Word, to provide our daily needs and of us, to take care He is Faithful, He is Loving and He is God and changes not He has numbered the hairs upon our head, and His Renown far surpasses Camelot He fashioned the world by His spoken Word and clothes the lilies of the field He tells the sun where to rise and set, and tells the oceans when to yield He paints the trees in Fall with colors, that perfectly match a blue or gray hued sky In Winter He blankets hills and mountains with snow so luxurious, it causes us to pause and sigh The changing fashion scene of Springtime, with vibrant colors and backgrounds of green Reminds us that God anews His Mercy every morning, and looks for opportunities us to redeem Summer fashion is often exciting, revealing or expressive of new ideas The “sun” associated with summertime, reminds us that God’s Son taught us how to live. The clothes we wear are designed by people, whom God gifted from above Each different from one another, yet reflecting creative examples of His Love. Linda Hannah is Founder of Hat Moments, LLC. Her love for presenting on the history of hats evolved from designing hats and her appreciation of the various styles worn throughout the years. From Derby events to Teas and more, her presentations create a buzz and fond memories of times past! Linda began sewing at the age of 12, and in addition to making some of her own clothing, she used to add decorative fabric to the bottom of her pants so they would be long enough because of her height. At that time proportion pants were not available. She also crocheted purses, belts and ties as gifts to family and friends. Linda married in her twenties and had three children. While homeschooling them, she wanted a business to supplement being a stay-home-mom. After seeing a hat that a friend had made, it sparked her interest to learn hat making. Linda took classes at Mertize Millinery in Detroit, taught her late husband Howard Sweeney, Jr., and then started a business – Uniquely Yours Custom Millinery, while also teaching the craft at a local fabric store. After several years in the business, Linda took a break from hat making to complete a goal of getting a bachelor degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. When the business was started again, it was named Forever Sweeney Millinery & Designs. For several years, “Uniquely Yours Custom Millinery” was showcased in the beautiful showroom of Elah Image, Inc. owned by Reginald and Brandy F. Gibson. The showroom was located in the International Center of Apparel Design (ICAD) in Detroit’s Greektown. Their hats, along with customized men and women’s clothing, jewelry deigns and impeccable men’s ties of local and international designers became the talk of the town. Entrepreneur and designer Brandy Gibson marketed over 24 fashion designers that highlighted Linda and others continually in Detroit Crain’s Business, The Detroit News and the Michigan Chronicle. Brandy and Linda collaborated with designs in leather, Persian lamb, mink, and denim that became the ICAD attraction making Uniquely Yours one of the top three designers with Elah Image. Their hats and apparel was featured on a local morning show, Kelly & Company, TV7 and Christian Television Network, CTNTV20 and other networks besides their weekly Fashion Tea debut at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Dearborn, Michigan. After almost 30 years of marriage her husband passed in 2010. Linda went through a period of not making hats, except for a family member or friend here or there. In 2011 she went to Chicago and took private millinery classes from a master milliner to enhance even further in her millinery field. Although excited by some of the techniques learned, Linda realized the demand for custom millinery wasn’t quite the same as it had been in prior years’ experiences and decided to wait and see what she might market her hats in the future. Along with her corporate job in the legal realm and staying busy with golf lessons, leagues, ballroom classes and roller skating, Linda continued to enjoy making hats for herself, her sisters, daughter and mother. She also began collecting vintage hats and learning more about their historical era. 7figure$

In 2011 President Barak Obama sent a letter of thanks and gratitude to Linda for a purple velour hat she designed for First Lady Michelle Obama. She was now refocused to design, manufacture and market her creations. In 2013 she was blessed to meet another wonderful man who loves God, Keith Hannah, and they married in 2014! He is also an entrepreneur and very supportive and excited about Linda’s ventures. In 2016 the Lord began to stir in Linda the desire to share her love about the history of hats. It is something she had done over the years of hat making for private birthday party teas and women organizations. In early 2017, she launched Hat Moments and God has steadily opened doors for her to speak for historical societies, libraries, professional women associations and more. Linda is passionate about sharing uncommon and engaging presentations that enhances knowledge. Some of the comments from audiences are: “Engaging!” and “Informative!” This year Linda is launching the teaching division of her business, Hat Moments 2, and partnering with Needle Artists & Crafters founder Andrea Fields, to teach a variety of sewing and crafting techniques in downtown Farmington, Michigan. Linda’s tagline “For the creative in you” and Andrea’s, “because crafting is sew fun and calming” sums up their vision to create an atmosphere where unending creativity flows. Linda’s hats have been featured in the: Farmington Observer & Eccentric, Styleline Magazine, The Detroit News, Detroit Free Press and other publications.
