Olivia attends Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School and is the sister of Joseph and Ella La Fiandra. She is the granddaughter of Barbara and Irving Cohen, Maria La Fiandra and Dino V. La Fiandra. Her hobbies include reading, singing, running, and musical theater. For her Mitzvah Project, Olivia donated her hair to make wigs for cancer patients.

Matthew attends the Jemicy School and is the brother of Bennie and Zachary Sachs. He is the grandson of Marcia and Alvin Sachs, Ira and Gloria Luchinsky, and Diane and Neil Cohen; and the great-grandson of Sadie Luchinsky. His hobbies include climbing, hiking, biking, swimming, computers, and building things. For his Mitzvah Project, Matthew had a book collection and collected over 1,800 books for Hawthorne Elementary.

Gabrielle attends The Park School of Baltimore. She is the sister of Alec and Julia Goldstein and Hobie. Her grandparents are Sandy and Sheldon Dobres and Nettie and Melvin Goldstein. Her hobbies include field hockey, lacrosse, gymnastics, skiing, painting and cooking. For her Mitzvah Project, Gabrielle volunteered at the BT PreSchool in their extended day program. She also volunteered at the Hannah Moore Soup Kitchen. She will donate a portion of her Bat Mitzvah money to the Hannah Moore House.

Maya attends Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School and is the sister of Guy Taylor. She is the granddaughter of Tova and Rony Natanzon, and Rosalind and Harold Taylor, and the great-granddaughter of Leah Hochman and Yosef Katz. Her hobbies include Krav Maga, singing, playing guitar, dancing, acting, cooking, reading and traveling. For her Mitzvah Project, Maya will donate Shabbat products (Kiddush cups, challah covers, candlesticks) to needy families so they too can have a wonderful Shabbat.

She is the sister of Mark, Ellie, and Elan Leybengrub; the granddaughter of Luybov and Vladamir Slavkina, and Larisa and Moisey Leybengrub; and the great-granddaughter of Sonya Sudakova. Her hobbies include figure skating, ballet, singing, dancing and reading. For her Mitzvah Project, Nori volunteered at Cleaning Up Baltimore as well as other places.

Daughter of Melissa and Adam Lebowitz Sat., Oct. 1, 2016 Eden attends Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School and is the sister of Talia Lebowitz. She is the granddaughter of Ellen and Charles Karp and Gail and Bruce Lebowitz. Her hobby is horseback riding. For her Mitzvah Project, Eden is working on a fundraiser to raise money for a horseback riding program for kids with special needs.

Beth Tfiloh welcomed Deacon Laurence Campbell and Chaplain Rickey Williams, together with members and boy scouts from Wayland Baptist Church, which occupies Beth Tfiloh’s former site on Garrison Boulevard, to engage in a Shabbat morning dialogue about what unites our communities and faiths.
