Beth Grosshans is a seasoned child psychologist who has dedicated her career to assisting families in overcoming the complexities of child development. Many parents face considerable challenges when raising their children, particularly when it comes to managing challenging behaviors such as emotional outbursts, resistance to authority, and anxiety. These issues can transform ordinary experiences like school attendance or family gatherings into sources of stress. Moreover, problems with sleep, eating, and toileting often lead to frustration for parents and children, further straining family dynamics. Understanding the weight of these challenges, Dr. Grosshans has made it her life's work to provide families with the support and guidance they need to address these difficulties. She offers practical, research-based strategies that help parents build the skills necessary to encourage healthy emotional and behavioral development in their children. She aims to help parents foster positive relationships with their children, improving their child's behavior and the family dynamic. Dr. Grosshans’ academic journey began with a B.A. in Psychology from The University of Cincinnati, which laid the foundation for her career. She continued her studies at Ohio State University, earning a Master’s and Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology. This advanced training allowed her to deeply understand the psychological factors contributing to children's emotional and behavioral development. After completing her academic studies, Dr. Grosshans interned at Boston Children’s Hospital and Judge Baker's Children’s Center. There, she worked with children and families in a psychiatric inpatient setting, gaining valuable hands-on experience and receiving guidance from experts at Harvard Medical School. This experience helped her develop a practical understanding of child psychology and shaped her approach to addressing children's emotional and behavioral challenges.
