SECOND TO NONE
Antonia Scott gets a sneak peak into Second to None’s Aladdin’s cave – run by Neil Scholes
S
ECOND to None is run by Neil Scholes, who instead of going to university at 18, opted for the adventure of starting a business straight after leaving school, having been inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of Alan Sugar and Richard Branson. He started trading in 1999 in Ketton, winning the ‘Live Wire Award for Business’ in his first year and quickly moved to a larger store in North Street, Stamford where he had great success for nearly 10 years. In 2009, Neil closed the shop and now trades exclusively online and has become one of the largest online second hand shops in the country with over 1,500 items in stock. They cater for all styles, tastes and budgets, with items from £5 up to £500! All items are photographed and listed on the website where they can be reserved by email and then viewed/collected by appointment only at their warehouse on Great Casterton Road, Stamford. Customers need to be aware that the warehouse is not a walk round shop where customers are able to browse for items. Neil also offers a full or part house clearance service in the Stamford area, removing all items if required, or any individual items that need selling. Neil says, “Second to None is committed to offering good quality items at good prices to everyone” and with over a thousand Facebook ‘Likes’ it seems to be a hit with his loyal local following, who return each season to revamp their homes and get a whole new look for less. • www.SecondToNoneStamford.com Tel : 07989 133362 STAMFORD LIVING APRIL 2015
