The BEBRF staff is frequently asked about whether webinars or Zoom support group meetings are recorded for later viewing. Here are the two very different answers and reasons:
Webinars are a part of the educational programming of BEBRF, and as such are ALWAYS recorded and shared on our website for future educational benefits to patients who may not be able to attend the live webinar. The advantage of attending the ‘live’ webinar is that you have dedicated a set-aside time to invest in learning this material, and you also have the opportunity to ask the presenter a direct question, which obviously you can’t do with a recording. Zoom support group meetings, by contrast, are a part of the support programming of BEBRF and are NEVER recorded. While educational ideas may be exchanged, those ideas stem from the sharing of ideas, treatments, and lives that patients have with each other, and that sharing is encouraged by having a safe, private environment to express problems, concerns, and questions.
