INSIDE AUTUMN 2026 ON THE COVER
ROGER SANCHEZ Queens-born DJ and producer Roger Sanchez aka "The S-Man" has spent four decades shaping the global evolution of house music, transitioning from 1980s New York hip-hop culture into a core architect of the genre's 1990s boom. Renowned for fusing soulful vocals, Latin rhythms, and electronic beats, he achieved international acclaim through classic remixes for major pop icons, the U.K. chart-topping anthem "Another Chance," a Grammy win, and his legendary residencies at Pacha Ibiza. Today, Sanchez continues to bridge the genre’s past and future by maintaining his creative independence through Stealth Records and releasing "Spectrum," a synesthesia-inspired project that marks his first studio album in two decades.

AMNESIA ANNOUNCES 50-TRACK VINYL/ CD COMPILATION TO CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Celebrating 50 years of dancing, Amnesia represents the heart and soul of electronic music in Ibiza. Telling a story that spans five decades, the 50th anniversary compilation sits across 10 vinyl and 5 CDs – a stunning collectable box set that offers a window into a legendary venue that has helped establish some of the world’s biggest tracks and artists. The soundtracks of 50 summers are represented across 50 tracks spanning 10 vinyl or 5 CDs. A hand-picked selection that reflects the incredible breadth of Amnesia’s cultural influence, bringing music from Donna Summer, Calvin Harris, Paul van Dyk, Candi Staton, Fred Again.., Robert Miles, Laurent Garnier, Binary Finary, and many more, as well as the vinyl exclusive for Maceo Plex’s Faithless “Insomnia” remix. Curated by Amnesia’s long-time resident Les Schmitz, the Amnesia team, and Frederik Emmerechts from N.E.W.S, there is an archival intention to the compilation, offering

a snapshot of the club’s consistent role in amplifying music that shapes culture, genres, and careers. Each track sparks a thousand stories; memories that hold both collective and individual significance. This isn’t a tracklist defined by an algorithm – the hand-picked selection comes from those who were part of the story, determined to document the soundtrack as a testament to the club’s cultural legacy. From the iconic piano riff of Eric Prydz’ "Pjanoo" to the laid-back groove of "Benediction" by Hot Natured. The compilation tells the musical history of the island as much as it does a club that spans eras and genres – the disco of Chic’s "Good Times" and Candi Staton’s “Young Hearts Run Free,” the new wave of New Order’s "Blue Monday," or the 90s rave of Human Resource’s "Dominator." Nights that have sat at the heart of Amnesia’s story are represented here too — Alter Ego’s “Rocker” and “Titelheld” by Extrawelt are synonymous with Sven Väth’s Cocoon, while Paul van Dyk’s “For An Angel” and Tiësto’s remix of “Silence” soundtracked Cream’s authoritative role in the history of trance. The eclectic influence of Amnesia’s original resident Alfredo weaves through the selection with tracks like Joe Smooth’s “Promised Land”
and, of course, Amnesia’s “Ibiza:” his legacy as a tastemaker of the Balearic sound underpins much of the compilation, defining the club’s clear sound ever since.
dance culture across generations. Since 1976, Amnesia has remained a sanctuary for those who put the room before the image. A space built on music and atmosphere, and a lasting commitment to what matters.
The compilation marks an anniversary that carries clear message – an invitation to dance from a club that has shaped the lives of everyone who stands on its dancefloor.
The Amnesia 50th Anniversary Compilation is out now on N.E.W.S.

ED SHEERAN'S STRATEGIC MOVE TO INTERSCOPE SIGNALS A NEW ERA
in recent years and signals the beginning of a new phase for one of the world's most commercially successful artists.
Despite the label change, Sheeran is maintaining the trusted team that has helped build his global empire. His longtime manager, Stuart Camp of Grumpy Old Management, remains at the helm, while live representation continues through One Fiinix Live and THE TEAM. Public relations will also remain under the direction of The Lede Company, ensuring continuity across his business operations. The signing reunites Sheeran with Interscope CEO John Janick, who previously worked with the singer songwriter during Janick's tenure at Warner's Elektra Records. That existing relationship is expected to provide a strong foundation as Sheeran enters the next stage of his recording career.
Global superstar Ed Sheeran is reportedly set to sign an undisclosed long term recording agreement with Interscope Records, bringing to a close an extraordinary 15 year chapter with Warner Music Group's Atlantic Records. The move represents one of the music industry's most significant label transitions
20

The timing could not be more strategic. Sheeran is currently in the midst of his massive 59 date global Loop Tour while simultaneously promoting his latest collaboration, "Repeat It," with acclaimed DJ and producer Martin Garrix. The momentum follows the successful late 2025 release of his eighth studio album, Play, further reinforcing his position as one of music's most consistent
global hitmakers. Few artists can match Sheeran's commercial accomplishments. Over the course of his career, he has sold more than 200 million records worldwide and made streaming history with "Shape of You," becoming the first song to surpass three billion streams on Spotify. His dominance extends well beyond recorded music, as he continues to sell out stadiums across the globe and headline premier festivals including Glastonbury and Rock in Rio. He is also scheduled to headline upcoming major events, including Summerfest. Streaming remains a major pillar of Sheeran's global success. With an impressive 83.8 million monthly Spotify listeners, his audience spans every major music market. His strongest listener bases are concentrated in London, São Paulo, Sydney, Mexico City, and Melbourne, highlighting the worldwide appeal that continues to make him one of the industry's most valuable artists. As Ed Sheeran embarks on this new partnership with Interscope Records, the move appears less like a reinvention and more like a calculated evolution. With an established support team, a thriving global tour, and a proven ability to dominate both streaming platforms and live stages, Sheeran enters this next chapter positioned to continue shaping the future of popular music.
DJ & LABEL BOSS PAUL RIDNEY OFFICIALLY AWARDED GUINNESS WORLD RECORD
On October 15, 2025, Paul Ridney set out to break the record for the most vinyl retail stores visited in 24 hours — travelling from Brighton to Worthing, Chichester, Shorehamby-Sea and back to Southampton using only public transport, plus a serious amount of walking. After an 11-month wait, the result is finally official: Paul visited 28 stores in total and is now a Guinness World Record holder.
For the music business, this is not simply a label change. It is a strategic power move that could define the next era of one of the world's biggest recording artists.
The 24-hour mission saw Paul rack up around 57,000 steps, hopping between buses, trains and pavements as he made his way from store to store. There were some proper low points too — including climbing one of Brighton’s monster hills, only to find the record shop at the top was closed.

SHOWTEK LAUNCHES NEW LABEL F_CK THE SYSTEM
After more than two decades of breaking down musical boundaries, the Dutch duo launches a new label in partnership with Be Yourself Music, debuting the imprint with an official collaboration alongside Belgian-French dance icon Kate Ryan. For more than 20 years, Showtek has refused to let genre dictate their career. From helping define hardstyle to crafting crossover hits with David Guetta and Major Lazer, the Dutch brothers (Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen) have built their reputation on constant evolution rather than standing still. That same philosophy now serves as the foundation for F_CK THE SYSTEM. Launched on July 3, 2020, F_CK THE SYSTEM is Showtek's new record label, created in partnership with Dutch independent powerhouse Be Yourself Music. For nearly 20 years, Be Yourself has helped shape the electronic music landscape, earning a reputation for discovering and developing talent across every corner of dance music

while working with artists including Bakermat, Brennan Heart, Headhunterz, Mike Williams, Tinlicker, Imanbek, and Vicetone. Together, they've created a label that reflects the full spectrum of Showtek's career, from the harder sounds that launched them to the crossover records that introduced them to audiences worldwide and the club-focused productions that define their current era.
Rather than committing to a single genre, F_CK THE SYSTEM is designed as a home for every side of Showtek's musical identity. Whether it's underground club music, festival records, or crossover releases, the label gives the duo one place to follow the music wherever it leads. Leading the label's debut is an official collaboration with Belgian-French dance icon Kate Ryan, who joins Showtek for a new interpretation of her enduring hit, "Ella Elle L'a." The story behind the record began in Paris. During their performance at Fun Radio Ibiza Experience inside Accor Arena, Showtek tested an early version of the track in front of thousands of fans. The reaction was immediate.
The crowd sang every lyric back to them, turning what started as a live edit into a collaboration that quickly took on a life of its own. The release also continues Showtek's long-standing connection to French music. Alongside years of collaborations with David Guetta, the duo produced the official remix of GIMS' "Ciel" in 2025, strengthening ties with one of Europe's most influential music markets. Joining them is Belgian-French dance icon Kate Ryan, who is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her career in 2026 with a European tour spanning Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, and beyond. With more than 3.5 million records sold, over 500 million streams and a catalog that includes "Désenchantée," "Voyage Voyage," "Libertine," and "Ella Elle L'a," Ryan remains one of Europe's most successful pop-dance artists. Together, Showtek and Ryan preserve the spirit of "Ella Elle L'a" while giving it new life for today's dance floor. As the debut release on F_CK THE SYSTEM, the collaboration does more than revisit a classic. It introduces a label designed to reflect every side of Showtek's musical identity, from the harder sounds that launched their career to the crossover records and club-focused productions that continue to shape it today. INDUSTRY NEWS HISTORIC HIP-HOP & R&B LABEL UPTOWN RECORDS RELAUNCHES; DANIELLE PRICE SANDERS NAMED PRESIDENT
One of the most influential labels in the history of Hip-Hop and R&B is officially making its return. Uptown Records, the legendary imprint founded by the late Andre Harrell in 1986, has announced its relaunch under the REPUBLIC Collective umbrella, with veteran music executive Danielle Price Sanders appointed as President. The revitalized label begins its new chapter with a roster that includes charttopping artists G Herbo and Yung Miami, signaling a bold commitment to shaping the next generation of culture-defining music. The relaunch represents more than just the return of a record label—it marks the revival of a cultural institution that helped redefine Black music, fashion, entertainment, and entrepreneurship. When Andre Harrell founded Uptown Records in New York City, he envisioned a company that blended the sophistication of R&B with the edge and authenticity of Hip-Hop. What followed was one of the most impactful runs in music history. During the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s, Uptown Records became synonymous with innovation and cultural influence. The label introduced audiences to artists who would become global superstars, including Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, Heavy D & The Boyz, Christopher Williams, Al B. Sure!, Soul for Real, and Father MC. Using the world’s largest archive at Universal Music, Re:versal Records dug through over 100,000 releases, sourced original DAT tape masters, found rare remixes and curated a refined collection of defining dance and electronic music. Re:versal Records brings deep cuts, rare remixes and classic dance tracks onto club ready and collectable heavyweight vinyl. This vinyl release symbolises a moment in time. Four tracks, eight artists, and a blueprint for dance music before the world knew what it was. Generally referred to as Garage, House or Loft music in the 80s, Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan shaped the sound from its roots. Larry, resident DJ at Paradise Garage, New York, Frankie at The Continental Baths in New York and later at The Warehouse in Chicago, both prolific remixers and some of the first career DJs. Two close friends.
Countless genres. One feeling. It’s hard to imagine that the other artists on this release could be equally as influential. Syreeta Wright first worked at Motown before spending decades singing and writing songs with Stevie Wonder. Gwen Guthrie began playing piano at 8, sung with artists ranging from Aretha Franklin to Madonna, wrote songs for the likes of Ben E. King, Roberta Flack and was known as "The First Lady of The Paradise Garage" during the heyday of the club. Adeva began work with Frankie Knuckles after already going platinum on her debut album, featuring a hit house remix of Aretha Franklin’s "Respect." This is all before mentioning Womack and Womack who moved bodies and souls from "Teardrops" on the dance floor, to family rooted gospel and soul foundations.
The Essence of Acid extends into the visual aspect of the show, using a series of iconic devices to enhance the performance visually. The stage will have synchronized lighting, screens, lasers, and other elements that develop alongside the music throughout the event. Dreamstate emphasizes the history and future of trance and electronic music, making it an ideal platform for this new concept that explores acid's influence within the genre. Paul van Dyk's longstanding career within the music scene spans over three decades and ties back to the festival's beginning in 2015. His previous works in acid music solidify this new performance as a coherent extension of his artistic journey.

F
or many independent artists, the conversation about making money from music begins and ends with streaming. While platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music have transformed the industry, streaming is only one piece of the revenue puzzle. The truth is that every song has the potential to generate income from multiple royalty streams when it is properly registered, your metadata is accurate, and your publishing and master recording rights are protected. Understanding these revenue opportunities can make the difference between simply releasing music and building a sustainable music career.
Understanding the Royality Streams that Build a Music Career. By SHON MURDOCK
STREAMING ROYALTIES
PERFORMANCE ROYALTIES
Streaming royalties are earned whenever your music is played on digital streaming platforms.
Performance royalties are generated whenever your music is performed publicly.
Although these royalties often receive the most attention, they represent only one source of income and should never be your entire financial strategy.
This includes radio airplay, television broadcasts, concerts, clubs, restaurants, sporting events, and other public venues.
We believe artists should be just as informed about the business of music as they are about the creative process. Here are the royalty streams every creator should know.
30
B E AT S E L E C TO R M A G A Z I N E » AU T U M N 2 0 26
These royalties are typically collected by Performing Rights Organizations (PROs) on behalf of songwriters and publishers.
MECHANICAL ROYALTIES Mechanical royalties are earned whenever your musical compositions are reproduced, downloaded, or streamed. If you write or publish music, these royalties represent an important source of recurring income that should not be overlooked.
SYNC LICENSING INCOME
LIVE PERFORMANCE ROYALTIES
Sync licensing can be one of the most profitable revenue streams available to artists. Whenever your music is licensed for films, television shows, commercials, video games, documentaries, podcasts, or online content, you earn synchronization licensing income.
Many artists are surprised to learn they may also earn royalties when their original music is performed live at eligible venues. When performances are properly reported, songwriters and publishers may receive additional royalty payments.
A single sync placement can often generate significantly more revenue than thousands of streams. M O V I N G E L E C T R O N I C M U S I C F O R WA R D

A "Spectrum" of Color for the 21st Century Dancefloor By Joseph Arthur Photography Haris Nukem
OGER NCHEZ
To
truly understand house music, one must grasp its rhythmic pulse—a driving 120-to-130 beats per minute built on a fusion of soul, funk, Latin percussion, and electronic sounds. Few artists embody this foundation better than Roger Sanchez, affectionately known as "The S-Man." Raised in the vibrant, multicultural environment of Queens, New York, Sanchez began his career in the 1980s, kicking off a four-decade journey that would leave an indelible mark on global dance culture. While exposed to diverse genres early on, Sanchez was initially drawn to hip-hop as a breakdancer and graffiti artist. He taught himself to DJ by observing the culture’s trailblazers, ultimately transforming his turntables into live instruments. Frequent visits to New York City’s legendary nightlife venues taught him the profound emotional connection between a DJ and the dance floor. Choosing music over a career in architecture, Sanchez became central to house music’s early 1990s explosion. He crafted tracks that fused soulful vocals, Latin rhythms, and hip-hop beats, establishing himself as a pioneer with his classic "Luv Dancin'" and high-profile remixes for icons like Madonna, Michael Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Daft Punk, Maroon 5, and dozens more. By the 2000s, Sanchez achieved global super-stardom with "Another Chance," a track that secured his spot in pop history. Built around a poignant sample from Toto’s "I Won't Hold You Back," the song blended a melancholic vocal hook with a driving house groove, capturing sadness and optimism all at once. It topped the U.K. Singles Chart and dance floors worldwide. Two years later, in 2003, Sanchez earned a Grammy for his remix of No Doubt’s "Hella Good." His legendary status extends to Ibiza, where his Pacha residencies remain iconic. The 2026 season marked his 30th year performing at the venue, where his “Roger Sanchez presents Flower Power" events continued to captivate audiences. Running every Saturday from

June through late August, Sanchez ignited the dance floor with classic-filled sets, breathtaking visual production, immersive decor, and performers handing out flowers and lollipops under a "Peace & Love" theme. Featuring guests like Marco Carola, Luciano, Nic Fanciulli, Armand Van Helden and many more throughout the season, the residency culminates in a grand season finale alongside fellow house maestro Mark Kinchen (MK) on October 10, 2026. Now, Sanchez returns with "Spectrum," his first studio album in two decades. Concieved in Shoreditch during pandemic lockdowns and refined over six years of global touring, the project bridges the deep roots of house music with its future. Determined to construct a cohesive album rather than a simple collection of club tracks, Sanchez relied heavily on his synesthesia, mapping specific colors, lights, and moods to each composition—ranging from "bright and soulful" to "emotional ultraviolet" and "club-ready infrared." Sanchez wrote nearly 50 tracks before refining the final selection down to 13 polished songs. He utilized SoundCloud to share private links with trusted DJ peers for dance floor and technical feedback, insisting on a collaborative studio environment where egos were left at the door. The album spans generations and styles, featuring collaborations with house legend Fedde Le Grand ("Grinnin'"), Spice Girl Melanie C ("I Don't Wanna Know"), and vocalists KelliLeigh, Kele Le Roc, and Ragdoll.

By releasing "Spectrum" entirely through his own label, Stealth Records, Sanchez bypassed major labels to deliver a project true to his vision. Roger Sanchez’s enduring career captures the very essence and global evolution of house music. From his early roots in Queens and game-changing 1990s remixes to charttopping anthems like "Another Chance" and decades of legendary Ibiza residencies, he has seamlessly bridged the genre's rich origins with its future. That lifelong commitment shines through in "Spectrum"—a deeply personal, color-inspired album built entirely on his own terms. Ultimately, "The S-Man" remains a master architect of dance culture, proving through constant innovation, seamless collaboration, and pure independence that the heartbeat of house music is timeless.

FIVEQ' BSM: Before you went full-time into music, you studied architecture at Pratt Institute. When you are arranging a song or building a multihour club set, do you visualize it through the lens of architectural design, spatial structure, or drafting?
Roger Sanchez: "I see it in an architectural design way: Build on the foundation— beats & rhythm, provide space and light- vocals and chords, and interconnect people through the corridors and walkways of euphoric moments , bridges and breakdowns. It has to be beautiful but also functional and organic— both my productions and my sets." BSM: You’ve talked about how your new album, "Spectrum," is built like a cohesive story. If "Spectrum" weren't a collection of music, but rather a comic book or graphic novel, going back to your roots at the High School of Art & Design, what would the plot be, and who is the protagonist?

Their story would take you from New York to London and to the stars in order to resonate other beings and bring light to darkness. The protagonist is the Dancer and their resonator is the source of sound." BSM: You moved to Shoreditch to live the U.K. scene while writing "Spectrum." How did leaving New York and Ibiza and immersing yourself in London's specific underground change the way you programmed your basslines and drums for the album? RS: " I think specifically the bounce of the bass in tracks I heard in London, as well as the chords that were reminiscent of 90’s

"SPECTRUM"
New York House, really brought me back to the roots of those sounds, but through the prism of the vibe of London streets. It’s almost like reading something written on paper but in a mirror— you see it backwards, but it’s still recognizable. That’s a bit of the way I started programming my bass lines and sounds while I was in Shoreditch." BSM: After spending six years working on "Spectrum," and realizing dance music trends have changed dramatically, which track on the album went through the most radical change from its original demo to its final master because you felt the world's ears had changed? RS: "'I Don’t Wanna Know' was the track I revised the most on the album. I think I took it a bit further underground and a bit darker over time and really enjoyed the contrast of the track and Melanie C’s performance."
BSM: When a song like "Another Chance" becomes an enduring, worldwide anthem, it may occasionally overshadow a producer's subsequent output. Have you ever experienced a period during the past 20 years when you had to actively combat the expectation to recreate that particular magic, and how did you manage to get rid of it for "Spectrum?" RS: "I have never allowed myself to get comfortable in one “sound” or zone, nor did I feel the need to repeat what I did on 'Another Chance.'
Each track captures a moment in time and feeling for me. That’s why 'Spectrum' feels familiar and new at the same time. I refer to my roots, but try to capture where I’m at in the moment I’m writing it."

NEW ALBUM
SIDEBAR Grammy-winning DJ, producer, and label head Roger Sanchez released "Spectrum" on June 5, 2026. His first studio LP in twenty years, showcases Sanchez as being in complete command of his craft and fully demonstrates that the global icon whose influence has shaped dance floors for decades, still has the chops to amaze his legions of worldwide fans. Sanchez set off a firestorm on a pre-release campaign leading up to the release of the album with three killer cuts: "Grinnin'" (with Fedde Le Grand), "Come My Way," and "Temptation" (with Low Steppa, featuring Ragdoll). However, the real gem of the album is "How Do We Say Goodbye," featuring Karen Harding. Her powerful vocals create an unforgettable hook and evoke a sense of nostalgia, while Sanchez's production transitions from a trance-like atmosphere to an impactful, climatic drop. "Spectrum's" tracks span a wide range of styles —from energetic club tracks and dance floor hits to more emotional, atmospheric pieces - with lyrics based on his own experiences and features collaborators from various genres and countries, including Melanie C, Kele Le Roc, Chico Castillo, Kelli-Leigh, Carnao Beats, Donae'O, and others — a line-up that reflects the excitement surrounding the record.

personal struggles during those times. Their hiatus from fame turned out to be a period of significant creativity and self-discovery, which they embrace in this new album. "Peak" represents their journey of reclaiming their peak, while also recognizing that life has no single summit. It suggests that growth is continuous, and every rise and fall is an important part of their narrative. The album reflects their thoughts on the fast pace of modern life, where technology evolves rapidly and society rushes toward the next
achievement. Rather than attempting to resolve this chaos, the album invites listeners to recognize and accept this complexity. This theme is visually represented on the album cover, which was created in an electronic recycling plant. The imagery captures the beauty found among discarded technology, symbolizing the memories and stories that each old device holds. The intertwined vines and flowers signify the beauty in a world that often overlooks the decay of technology. The album also raises questions artists face
in a changing creative landscape, particularly with the rise of artificial intelligence and its impact on human creativity. It confronts the idea of why artists create, leading to a deeper exploration of emotions over mere success. Musically, "Peak" contrasts feelings of fragility with uplifting melodies and energetic beats. The twelve tracks cover various electronic styles, incorporating pop elements alongside more intense sounds, reflecting Krewella's diverse roots. This dedication to their craft is evident in songs like "3ayet L'taxi," which features young Algerian rapper Dalia, and "Stif," notable for its energizing Chaoui sound. Acid Arab has also collaborated with Lebanese artist Yasmine Hamdan on the track "Shahed Mech Shayef" and reunites with Syrian musician Wael Alklak for "Yasmine Alsham," highlighting the group's strong connections to the underground dance scene. Their creative choices are focused on the quality and uniqueness of voices rather than famous names, reflecting a commitment to genuine musical connections. Acid Arab's tracks invite listeners to experience music rather than explaining themselves or demanding validation. At Its Heights," "It’s Grim Up North" – just a few of the dozens that, over the following years, have championed its mass. Both culturally and creatively, the North tends to form more than the average core of an artist’s identity. It’s derived from a strong sense of pride in one’s place — not just its achievements, but in its character, humour, and resilience. Up north, "grey" isn’t seen as bleak, but as honest and real: a backdrop that has shaped an unpretentious outlook on all things "life." It engenders a sense of working
the two albums’ relationship though, as Christian goes onto explain: “Love Songs From Suburbia’ was written during one of the lowest points of my life.. ‘Waking Up In A Northern Town’ however was actually created during one of the best. It came at a time when I’d moved to the States and met and married my now-wife. This album, well … there’s a lot of hope on here. ‘Love Songs’ was more like a plea for it. This is the one where it actually happens." As Christian points out though, “no one wants to hear an LP made up of twelve happy-clappy songs! That’s not real life.” So, in title and lyric, time and again over its vanguard singles, he’s cannily subverted or swerved the issue. ‘Northern Town’, which in turn was cycled back into the music evolving around it."
through adversity, and through that, producing something vital, expressive and, well, frankly … elevated. Now, through his third album dispatch, "Waking Up In A Northern Town," singer, songwriter and BBMAK vocalist, Christian Burns makes his own mark in this grand practice. It could be argued that Burns actually began this process with the release of his last artist album in 2021. "Love Songs From Suburbia"'s title and singles already played with the theme to a degree. There’s a distinct dichotomy between
Across its singles sway, Christian worked with a number of luminary co-producers - Cosmic Gate, Pretty Pink, Paul Thomas and Little Foot among them. There was one however who left an impression more broadly across its album canvas. Says Christian, “I initially contacted Banaati (of Monstercat fame) to work on the track that became ‘Embers’. His own flavour and sound translated brilliantly, and I loved the amount of space that he brought to it.” In him, Christian had discovered a stylistic likemind and Benjamin’s backings prove to be a masterclass in transcendent space, knowing as much when to elementally delay or subtract, as to add. That develops an overarching atmosphere for "Waking Up In A Northern Town," that appears to wrap itself around the listener, and one you’ll ever more find yourself leaning into. Now, with her sophomore album "Eclipsed," she draws on those to create her most personal and expansive body of work yet. beginnings. Across its fifteen tracks, the worlds of trance, melodic bass, cinematic electronica and pop songwriting shift in and out of each another’s shadows. At its heart though, "Eclipsed" is an album about what happens when that light changes. Lyrically its songs trace loves, both found and lost, and identities once surrendered but now reclaimed. It’s about the people who carry us through our darkest moments, and the unexpected perspectives that can emerge
In a musical landscape increasingly shaped by AI and repetitive chart formulas, it is refreshing to hear an electronic artist determined to push boundaries both musically and sonically. On "Eclipsed," HALIENE resists predictability at every turn, weaving together unexpected genres, shifting time signatures, unconventional modes, and intricate harmonic ideas. From the collision of dubstep and drum & bass with Picardy-third progressions in “The Other Side,” to the 15/4 odd meters and pentuplet polyrhythms of “Dark Side of My Heart,” the album consistently reaches beyond the conventions of modern electronic music. “I wanted to push against the trend and make music that AI could never ‘dream of" HALIENE explains. “Music with enough humanity, complexity, and unexpected choices that it could never have been generated by a formula, and yet it feels seamless, singable and even danceable.” More than anything, however, "Eclipsed" is intended to travel beyond its creator. These are songs born from change, devotion, grief, resilience, uncertainty and joy, but their meaning does not end with the experiences that created them. Like an actual eclipse, "Eclipsed" finds beauty not solely in darkness or light, but in the extraordinary and evanescent moments when the two engage with one another. It's high-impact and club-focused, but detailed enough to reward close listening —a record built as much for the warehouse as for the headphones. It's also his own work end to end. At a moment when artificial intelligence is reshaping how records get made, Justin kept the entire project human-created, from the audio to the artwork.
The follow-up to his 2022 debut "Existential," "Now Or Never" turns on a single question: when passion calls, do you answer? Where "Existential" explored the contrast between life's tragedies and harmonies, this record treats passion as something carried through time - a force that shapes identity, memory and instinct. Each track stands for a different expression of it: resistance, attraction, discovery, dance, healing, love and selfrealization. Rather than a set of standalone singles, the album is built as a full world, with
"'Now or Never' captures a complete cycle of time and transcendence; it narrates a continuous path of transformation within my life, and asks deep questions about the nature of core passions and their place in the soul. While I was writing this album, I explored the feelings which brought me the core values I have always held - whether it was the mind's strife against authoritarianism, our nature as humans to seek affection, or to explore and innovate, or to gather together and dance... All the way through the soul's path of existential questions: Why Am I? The 12 chapters of this story walk a journey of discovery within myself, with each song as a lifetime leading into the next pivotal realization. Consciousness is an infinitely complex, yet infinitely interconnected experience, and I wanted this album to love and hold that wonderful mystery. In this turning point aeon of artificial intelligence, I chose explicitly to use human-only creative, and intentionally directed and created all audio, text, photo and video artwork with the help and eyes of Chase Yaws and Sadler Milbrath. significant attention from electronic music tastemakers for its honest storytelling and genre fluidity. The lead track "Let’s Dance," marks a shift towards themes of reconnection and joy, inspired by a studio session in Berlin after a long separation from his daughter. Other tracks reflect on moments of hope and celebration, while songs like "Squirrel," "Robin," and "Harvest Moon" grapple with loss and navigating a changed world. Overall, the album charts a journey from grief to acceptance, connection, and hope. With "Ise," Killian Walsh presents his most ambitious work, illustrating how music can foster meaning and healing in challenging times.
Ambient, House, Trance, and Techno, while incorporating Walsh’s traditional Irish music roots.
"Music has been part of my life from a very young age, and I had what I can only describe as a pull to do something. This album is effectively the story of the journey of my grief, realising that grief is a form of madness and all the emotions attached to that. It's also the journey of me looking into my past, because you really start looking at yourself and asking, ‘What are you doing? Why am I here? What is the point in all of this?
The album was developed with collaborators in Dublin, Berlin, and Australia, including well-known producers Tobias Neumann and Johannes Manuel. It features a mix of analog sounds, immersive design, and melodic depth with a strong emotional core.

scene. Adapting that complex, programmed drum language to a live kit turned out to be a revelation: he'd spent years playing the concepts without ever trying to produce in the style. He also borrowed something from Traxman's method directly, working minimally from a single sample source and mining it for every permutation it could yield, a leaner way of working that let him skip big studio sessions entirely for this particular project. "SPRINTING" pushes the idea further still, applying the logic to other electronic styles that are usually the territory of drum machines rather than a live kit. The title plays on every direction the word can move: running from something, the way somebody runs from a dinosaur in "All Bosses;" running toward something, a finish line or a person; the speed of footwork's drum patterns and the dancing built around them; the pace of a life lived partly online, in samples and reactions and algorithmic randomness.
finally turns into live musical exploration. Strauss's early admiration for Traxman's "Da Mind of Traxman," drew him into the genre's frenetic, sample-built rhythms, and he spent months working out the patterns on his kit. The techniques he'd absorbed never fully left his playing, and a chance clip from drummer Vante Carson last year sent him back to footwork, this time through Traxman's "Da Mind of Traxman 3," and into a deeper engagement with the genre's history and
Strauss doesn't have the ambition to make a footwork album, and doesn't think "SPRINTING" is one. He sees it as a first step, one he hopes will eventually take him to Chicago to learn more directly from the culture. Watching Traxman play live at Teklife's 15th anniversary party at Panke, he heard something he already recognised from a life in jazz: the best players carry everyone who came before them in their playing, and still manage to sound completely like themselves.

that highlight different emotions, starting with the stillness of "Silence," the loneliness of "Alone," the awakening in "Sundance" with Perry Farrell, and the acceptance found in "Technicolor." Each track contributes to a broader narrative, emphasizing transformation rather than just standalone songs. The central theme of "VICTO" discusses the idea of being shaped by one's surroundings versus choosing to shape oneself. Ruiz explores this journey through 14

Other tracks, like "Better Days" with Luke Cusato, showcase warm piano and delicate vocals, while the instrumental "When Words Fail…" delivers a deeply moving experience. In the second half, tracks like "Skyfall" with Enrico Minelli evoke strong emotions against melodic backgrounds, while "Running" reflects Ruiz’s electronic roots with uplifting rhythms. "You Deserve It All," featuring his partner Tao Andra, becomes an emotional highlight, combining hopeful melodies with impactful vocals. to a cheating ex - and rebuilds it around Ely's signature sound: a high-tempo electronic beat, a clean, straight-to-the-point structure and an energy built for big rooms, turning a bitter kiss-off into something a crowd can shout back at the DJ booth. It follows Ely's single "Self Aware," released on September 11, and his remix of Gryffin, BUNT. and Inéz's "World Away," which released on September 18, in a year that has already brought his official remix of Taylor Swift's
"Opalite" and "Gravity," his collaboration with Steve Aoki and SACHA, to name only a few. Released by Eamon in 2004, the original spent four weeks at No. 1 in the UK, led Billboard's European Hot 100 and became the first charttopper in UK history with an explicit word in its title. Twenty-two years later, it has landed in the hands of one of the busiest touring names in dance music. "The idea came from Siri [sirinens] and we both absolutely love the original Eamon song. It's
definitely one of those songs that immediately triggers an emotion especially if you know it from earlier times. The moment I realized that this version really added something special was when the chords of the bass came into play. It adds more energy and also a darker vibe, compared to the laid back beat of the original. This gives the whole song almost a new meaning. After it went viral across Instagram and TikTok, I'm so happy to finally share this full version with everybody." — Ely Oaks M O V I N G E L E C T R O N I C M U S I C F O R WA R D

Sometimes inspiration arrives from the most unexpected places. For Josh Wink, it came as a decades-old recording. While digging through his archives in 2025, the Philadelphia producer and DJ stumbled upon a tape of his first-ever

Los Angeles performance, a rave called "Futurama" held in 1994. Hearing it again after more than thirty years brought back a flood of memories and a renewed connection to the sounds and energy that shaped his early years. That rediscovery became the spark behind “Futurama" Wink's new single out now on Ovum Recordings. Rather than recreating the past, Wink used it
as a starting point. The track draws inspiration from the era's acid lines, tension, and raw spirit while firmly pushing into the present. It's a record that feels familiar without looking backward, combining the hypnotic qualities of classic acid techno with the precision and depth of modern production. Built around rolling grooves and steadily unfolding momentum,"“Futurama" captures the feeling of being pulled deeper into the dancefloor. There's a sense of nostalgia in its DNA, but the
track never relies on it. Instead, it channels the excitement of discovery that defined the early rave years and translates it for today's clubs and festivals. With "Futurama," Wink isn't revisiting history for the sake of nostalgia. He's reconnecting with the curiosity and creative energy that first drew him into dance music and proving that those instincts remain as powerful today as they were in a Los Angeles warehouse back in 1994. When Timmy Trumpet sat down with One World Radio at Tomorrowland back in July, he had no intention of announcing an album. It came out anyway - an unguarded moment on air, a Freudian slip that put the record into the world before anyone planned to. Now the rest of the picture arrives. Alongside his new

single "Chase The Feeling," a collaboration with German hitmaker Alle Farben featuring Brighton singer, songwriter and producer ALEXX, Timmy is revealing the full tracklist and release date for "REVELATIONS," the 15-track vocal album landing on October 23, 2026, six years after his debut body of work "Mad World." The single itself is a feel-good, endlesssummer house anthem, taking his signature live trumpet sound from the stage into the

studio and pairing it with a big, bright melodic chorus and a hook that hits on the first listen - made for sunrise, sunset and everything in between, and built to keep summer alive well into the winter months. Behind that optimism sits a far more personal record. "REVELATIONS" was written by Timmy during a challenging year after his long-term relationship ended. He had proposed to his partner in a widely publicized event and later
to change his music style, moving away from festival hits to songwriting that helped him cope with his emotions. His first release after the breakup, "Not A Place" featuring Oaks, showed a new level of emotional depth. The following song, "Chase The Feeling," reflects his journey to reconnect with life and feelings. Together, these songs illustrate the emotional progression of "REVELATIONS," exploring themes of heartbreak, self-reflection, acceptance, and hope.
