Q&A How To Know If She’s Into You or Not!

F

but no one can ever be certain because no two humans are the same. We may think alike but actions and reactions are completely different. If a woman is constantly staring at you every five seconds this is to give you the signal that she either is interested or you have something on your face; either way that is a good time to make conversation to see if it’s more than just looks. Once you get the woman that’s only the half you have to make sure you are able to sustain the spark. One obvious give away that she is really feeling you is if she makes contact; this is always a good sign when a woman begins to get touchy-feely.

inding true love is one of the hardest things to do in life. Many couples stay together for a long period of time and end up being frustrated and miserable for the majority of their lives. When you are looking to approach a woman; despite what most men believe, women know who they want before we approach them. We will give you some keys signals to look out for. Body language can tell you if you stand a chance of getting close to her, or getting slapped if you try. Most women if they really enjoying your conservation they will give you eye contact to let you know that they are truly listening to what you are saying. On the other hand if she is not consumed by you or your conversation; look out for folded arms and rolling eyes. If everything around her catches her attention the best thing to do is make a quick exit and save your breathe.

Despite what most men beleive, women know who they want before we approach them

Women are very funny species so pick up lines won’t work on majority of women especially if they get hit on with the same old lines. In the old days Men had to be the one to initiate the conversation, but in the modern days now some women are taking the imitative. Women tend to send mixed signals, so you have to pay close attention because one false move can ruin everything. If a woman initiates the conversation this is a good sign, but don’t get over cocky because she may genuinely have a real question; and not really into you. There have been thousands of studies trying to pick up on women tendencies,

If a woman tells you that she is not ready for a relationship this might just mean she is not ready for a relationship with you. Most women don’t like to be alone it makes them feel like there is something wrong with them; why they can’t get a man but most women won’t just settle for any John Doe. If you take out a woman and she initiates the phone calls or text then you maybe on to something good. On the other hand if you call and leaves messages with no response just keep it moving there is someone else out there for you. Women can’t understand them but can’t survive without them! God’s best gift and curse to mankind. BATCHELOR

Fine Dining

T

here are plenty of fine dining restaurants all across the globe; the key is to find a few that scintillate your taste buds. Here are some key things you will need to ensure you get the best possible experience. If you’re going to a well known location; try to make your reservations at least a few days in advance to ensure you’re able to be seated at a reasonable time. Make sure you check the dress code prior to making the reservations. If you’re going to a five star restaurant you should be well dressed regardless. Never lift your menu off the table at least one part of the menu should always be touching the table. You may tilt your menu upwards, so you can read more clearly; but always have some portion touching. Resist placing your purse, keys or cell phones on the table. This is probably more common today with the use of cell phones, but try to limit usage while attending dinner. Place your napkin neatly on your lap; never tuck it inside of your clothing. Keep your mouth closed while chewing your food and never make loud chewing noises like an animal. This is very unattractive and a huge turn off. You should sit up straight, but comfortably. Don’t sit with your arms crossed or slouch over the table. Don’t ever say you’re going to the restroom; politely excuse yourself from the table. Never use your hands to help pick up your food; use your silverware. When you’re finished eating try to leave one bite of food on your plate, so it doesn’t look like you were starving or still hungry. Last, but not least; never use a toothpick at the table to clean out your teeth. These are just a few fine dining etiquette tips to help for future occasions.

Autos

The Vintage Aston Martin

A

ston Martin ‘s have been a prestigious vehicle for many decades; synonymous with the movie James Bond. This vehicle is still one of the most sought after cars today. When you think of Aston Martin the first word that comes to mind is luxury, but that’s not the only thing that defines this well built automobile. It’s style and grace on the road sets it apart from its counterparts. The cars are hand built by skilled technicians in England, and has been that way since 1913. The Aston Martin’s have been featured in numerous music videos and started a whole music movement. This vehicle will definitely turn heads in any atmosphere. When you drive a Aston Martin the chances of seeing another vehicle like yours on the road is slim; which makes it exclusive and stand apart from the rest. When your name is synonymous with luxury; your brand sells itself. Everyone I’ve spoken to who owns an Aston Martin have never had any negative comments about this vehicle. Most luxury cars have some critics; for whatever have experienced some faults in there vehicle, but that does not apply here. As long as you keep up with your maintenance of the vehicle; it will take care of you for a long time. The DB11 is Aston Martin’s most recent sports car. The vehicle is described as an “aesthetic revolution” and it features innovative aerodynamics that cleverly manage airflow both over and through the bodywork without disturbing the car’s sleek design. This vehicle should be on everyone’s wish list if you’re able to afford this masterpiece.

Fashion Building The Brand Deon Glover

The Start of a New Clothing Line Written by Sheila Lordeus (@LordKnowsMedia)

F

ind yourself flipping through fashion magazines, feeling like you could design something better? If this is you, meet an up-and-coming designer that plans to do just that. “Fashion was always my passion,” says the Miami native, Deon Glover. When he is not at the beach flying a kite with his sons, Deon works hard to build a unique clothing line. So, on a sizzling summer day, we sat down to talk about his collection and pick his brain on the business of fashion. Why fashion over something else? “I started working in the entertainment business at age 14 as a background dancer, became a rapper and later a manager,” says Deon. While on the road performing for seven years he designed the outfits for his group mates and other local artists. In order to meet such demands he enlisted the help of his brother’s mother-in-law. “She was actually a seamstress who designed for proms, weddings and graduations,” he says and goes on to mention, “We were all proud to wear our own clothes on the stage.”

18 BATCHELOR SWIMSUIT ISSUE

Watching what friends and family wear also brings me inspiration

In 2001, the retired rapper started managing artist but still helped with styling. However, the music industry made a turn and a lot of money got lost during the recession. “This could be considered as the moment when I realized that something bigger was about to come,” shares Deon, “So, I decided to go into fashion.” Especially, since when most of the calls he was receiving were invites to the fashion shows and styling advise, so he thought that maybe it was his calling. What is so special about the collection? “My apparel caters to the small business man all the way up to the Fortune 500 company business man,” says Deon, explaining that he feels women have enough places to go. Although the entrepreneur didn’t attend a fashion school, he still made his passion become a reality. “A couple of designers and I get together and come up with some nice ideas and sketches,” he says, “ An elegant men’s clothing line consisting of robs, t-shirts, pants, undergarments and even shoes.” A shoe, called “Deon”, is inspired from a show in the late 80’s. The rob line is made of 100 percent Turkish cotton and comes in four different colors, textures and styles. It also has an adjustable temperature capability so that “it keeps you from getting hot and/or cool at one time,” gloats Deon, “My collection will be on demand. Meaning that there are limited amounts of each style, to offer my clients with some level of exclusiveness.” Hearing that you may wonder is it expensive to buy. “The cost ranges from 50 bucks for a watch to 100 bucks for a shirt,” says Deon, “Not that expensive for the quality.” Additional plans include customers being able to interactively design and order their item online such as selecting options like color or pattern. How does the collection stay relevant? “During my research, I realized there weren’t enough minority fashion business owners,” points out Deon. The goal is to provide a “direct outlet for a diverse group of business men” to purchase a particular style, instead of going to the brands that attempt to design what they think corporate men may prefer. He knows what a business man likes because aside from being one, he associates with several.

Then there is location.... location.... location! It helps to have the Deon Glover headquarters situated in a thriving area of Miami called Midtown, which is the mecca of all things art and fashion. “We want to be in the middle of everything as for as fashion and business wise,” says the inspiring designer, “ I also has a scrap board that already outlines a 10 year plan of the collection.” According to Deon, marketing is key to any business surviving and that “using the internet , billboards, magazine and any fashion outlet “ to expose a brand is vital. Other things like attending events can only help in securing relevance. He shares how last December, a small introduction of the collection showcased during Art Basel in Miami by sponsoring a young designer’s event.

Going to these sorts of occasions generate new ideas. He then brags about how his sons, age 11 and 14, observe him and change their fashion from what they see him dress in. “I always make sure that they are on point,” says the father of two. Kids mimic what they see, “so giving them choices” starts to form their sense of style (Deon shows off pictures of his son’s posing around the house in his collections). “Watching what friends and family wear also brings me inspiration, while keeping me up-to-date on what’s new,” he adds. What is “Making the Brand”? “Making the Brand” is a mini realty show about the fashion industry. “We want to give everybody a picture of the day-to-day struggles in the fashion world,” shares Deon. It’s going to film moments of getting up at 5:00-6:00am, a day in the office, dealing with wholesale companies and factory vendors, preparation for fashion shows, lots of traveling to different Continents and, of course, the night life. Viewers can see the steps from when first getting started to maintaining a clothing line. Due to the request of the producers, he was unable to speak more about the project.

So, stay tuned. Deon mentions that the show is viewable online via the his website, vlogs, blogs, YouTube and every video platform videos are viewable. Do you have some recommendations for other designers? “Do your research first and try to follow your own ideas, don’t listen to so many people because they can pull you into so many directions,” says Deon and continues to express that “sticking to what you believe in” makes a design one-of-a-kind. Some challenges are financial because in any startup, money is the main need. “Learning to not just use your own money, but to get people to invest into your brand is key,” he explains. For a while, that was a challenge he faced but know it’s “starting to ease up” because people are taking notice of the collection and reaching out. Deon has not run across any major problems or challenges yet. He’s “blessed” to utilize connections from the business world to help him out in the fashion world. However, there is no denial that at some point he will come across a few problems. “Keeping good business with certain people reduces the chance of making mistakes or struggling,” says Deon, “When you reach out and they are there for you, then you know you did something right”. Lastly, he list three things to have in business are a reputable publicist, someone with an eye for fashion and good team to keep the day-to-day activities going. How does the future look for the brand? “We are getting ready for the spring collection now. So there will be more t-shirts, shorts and sandals. These will come in four different colors,” says Deon. For the summer, the line will be more likely in the white color scheme with some variety of fabrics. “We want to keep it simple, clean, classy but affordable,” he adds. His shoe line will be coming in two different colors. One shoe will be formal to pair with suites and the other casual (in the form of a tennis shoe) to wear with shorts or jeans. Currently, they are not set on all the patterns just yet but collaborating with different designers on special looks. In order to get the brand into more hands, they are going to distribute to unisex boutiques first. “We have thousands of boutiques that’s on our chart to reach out to. I just have to get the orders filled because they are ready for it,” he revels. Five years from now, Deon wants to see the company go global and wishing for the brand to be worn by celebrities on the red carpet. Follow the collection when showcases at fashion shows in Harlem, NY this coming June. The story continues, so to learn more about the Deon Glover brand, visit www.DeonGlover.com.

THE BEAUTIFUL KAKI WEST HAS BEEN SEEN ALL OVER THE WORLD FROM THE BIG SCREEN TO MAGAZINE COVERS, NOW SHE HAS GRACED THE COVER OF BATCHELOR FOR OUR SWIMSUIT ISSUE. GET TO KNOW THE STUNNING BLONDE BOMBSHELL…

How are you doing? Great, it’s hot here in LA! We are happy to have you grace the cover of Batchelor? I am pleased to be your Cover Model! Being on numerous magazine covers do you still get excited when you see yourself? Every time like a little kid at Christmas! It is the crown glory of being a model to land a magazine‘s cover. Even though I have over 20 covers, they always feel like the first. Where are you from originally? This is a long answer! Ok here goes, born in Newport RI, moved to Virginia outside DC, then moved to Connecticut and NYC, then came to California for College, back to NYC. Now I own my own place in Beverly Hills! Were you always one of the prettiest girls growing up, or did you go through that phase of growing into your beauty? I was a late bloomer, but always had the model physique of tall and thin. How is it different living out in California? California is beautiful. The weather is beautiful as are the people, but that is all on the outside. It can be a competitive and caddy town. You have to really want it and go after it to remain in California. I have remained and now I am on the top of my game. How did you get into the entertainment industry modeling and acting? I was signed at the age of 14 to the Ford Agency in NYC. So I grew up fast as a model with life experiences. Acting came later I majored in Theatre Arts. Which do you prefer? They are the 2 loves of my life. I am at a stage where modeling has become residual and acting challenges me on so many more levels. I find myself really going towards acting now. You look perfect for a role in Baywatch; you

might have given Pam a run for her money! Pam Anderson is iconic. I would definitely want to emulate a career path like Pam’s. She went with her look and capitalized on it and created a Brand for herself. She is one hot and smart blonde! What are some of the films that you have appeared? Legally Blonde 2, Driftwood, Charlie Wilson’s War. I saw you in the Bronx is Burning as Reggie’s girlfriend, how did you go about getting casted for that role? The Vice president of ESPN saw my picture thru an email, and said “Wow who is this?” Hence I got the job and have been the ESPN ESPY Awards Trophy Model for the past 2 years. Do you have anything in the works right now? Yes I am leaving for Europe for 2 weeks. I will be shooting for FHM Romania and Esquire Magazine. I am thrilled, and have never been to Romania! What would be an ideal role you would love to play in a movie? This is easy I am the biggest Michael Mann fan. He directed such hits as “last of the Mohicans”, “Heat”. “Miami Vice”, “Collateral”. In all of his movies the women characters are always strong, independent and very smart while being feminine. My ideal part would be the lead female in Miami Vice opposite Collin Farrell. Are you a natural blonde? YES, I have the baby photos on my website to prove it. Go to www.kakiwest.com under the Biography page. Blondes normally get depicted as being as being beautiful only, but that’s not the case with you. My parents both went to Ivy League colleges. It was instilled in us to study hard and aim high

in life. Do you get compared to a Barbie often? Yes! Strangers will come up to me and say I look like a Barbie Doll. Do you like the comparison? Barbie is an iconic doll. I am flattered by the comparison. I work very hard at my appearance mind, body and soul. That just means that your gorgeous right… It means I am tall blonde and well dressed! Plenty girls want to become models, but they don’t realize modeling is more than just taking photos it’s a full time job! Yes it is very hard and the rejection is brutal. In the new social media generation, it is unfortunate that girls think putting up some low-end photos will make you famous or give you the entitlement to call yourself a “Model”. A professional Model has talent agents, managers and a professional website. She also gets paid for jobs and bookings etc. Not everyone can earn a living and be a model. Same as not everyone can be a surgeon. Have you ever worked a 9 to 5 job? NO. If you weren’t modeling/acting what would you see yourself doing? Being a writer. What do you do in your spare time to relax? Workout, Pilates, yoga, walking. I travel; I have been really into vineyards and wineries lately. Write in my journal. I pray a lot to remain centered, humble and grateful. Do you love to go out and party? I like to go out. But it does not have to be a club. I don’t like crowds or a lot of attention. I like to go out, travel, see new places, and meet fascinating people. That is an ideal party for me. Not a bunch of commoners with wrists bands on.

Batchelor Law

Bad Teeth One of the first things a woman will notice about a guy is his smile, a displays a pleasing and comfortable personality. However if you don’t practice proper dental hygiene, don’t expect her to want to kiss you. So ensure to visit you dentist regularly, change your tooth brush every three months and brush your teeth at least three times a day. Coffee will leave stains your teeth and soda pops, can damage the enamel of your tooth. If you smoke, tobacco will leave tar stains on your teeth and turn your gums and lips darker. Let’s be serious, would you want to kiss an ashtray? If you wouldn’t, what make you think she would?

2 Willful Ignorance It is one thing if someone just doesn’t know, but is willing to learn. It’s completely another when they don’t care. This is a strong character trait that you are not an intelligent person, and not willing to better yourself. Guys this just makes you look dumb. So be curious and open minded, in your discussions with her.

Obsessed with Social Media

Being A Jerk

Always posting selfies and checking your phone in her presence. The only exception to this Law, is if you are a Celebrity (e.g. DJ Khaled “Another One”). Be present in the moment with her.

4 A Guy With No Hobbies If you don’t have a hobby or something meaningful to do with your spare time, apart from hanging out with friends; be as interesting as possible, be an exceptional and stand out.

5 Smoking This sends the signal that you don’t respect your health or your life. A blatant display of willful ignorance. This will only work if she smokes as well or it will be a major turn off.

If you’re out with your date, and you start treating some you don’t know terribly. If you are yelling at a waiter or retail person and your excuse is you will probably never meet them again, that is an instant “turn-off ”. Be kind and treat everyone with respect, never be disrespectful, especially to people in the service industry.

7 Neediness A majority of the women in the world today are independent and do have their own lives to live; respect her time and space and she will want to spend more time with you. Be a man and support her, don’t depend on her for support. It’s her choice if she wants to spend time with you, not an obligation.

Feature Journey Of The Human Emoji

Khyrie Alleyne In social media, a timeline is usually overflowing with selfies and status updates full of emoji’s as a form of expression. This pop culture communication is what inspired a young entrepreneur to combine the two into a chat messaging application called “Selfie Faze.” Written by Sheila Lordeus (@LordKnowsMedia)

30 BATCHELOR SWIMSUIT ISSUE

K

hyrie Alleyne, 24, became Founder & CEO of “Selfie Faze” two years ago. His mobile app lets a user take selfies and turn them into emoji’s. Bet you’re wondering why you did not come up with that idea! The Brooklyn native established this concept after sending his friend, Serena Williams (yes, that Serena Williams, the tennis champion!) a selfie looking as he was feeling sick and sad at the time. Serena replied with “gross, ugh....yuk” and Khyrie thought, “on my gosh, this lady is a mess.” Even though he was not feeling good, that moment brought him laughter. Excited, he said, “I have to come up with emoji’s that can be anything....AnYCons.” So, while working on his Master’s in International Relations and Public Policy at Howard University, Khyrie started on the journey of creating and executing his app a couple of days later. The young entrepreneur describes himself to be a person that “inspires, motivates and enhances not only the inner him, but everything and everyone he comes in contact with.” Proven in his accomplishments as a community activist, motivational speaker to the youth and published writer - all while playing tennis in his spare time, one could admit that is quite impressive! However, the “Selfie Faze” journey was bumpy. “No, “No”can stop my yes” is one of many mottoes that Khyrie holds dear because he has “a vision for the world and those are AnYCons.” With no prior mobile application design experience, the grad student did not waste any time to do what it takes to make his idea a reality. The first step he took was to ask questions such as: • What is an app? • How do you make an app? • What is the app suppose to do? • How to go about creating the app?

Once he completed his research, the next step was to design the app itself. Khyrie shares how he lost a lot of money doing so at first. “I reached out to a brilliant college kid (who already started an app) to make a mock-up of my idea, I paid this guy and no mock-up was made for me.” He was disappointed but didn’t give up. “It’s ok,” he said, “So then I reached out to a company in India overseas to make my app and they were sending me screenshots of what I’m thinking is mine and they stole over $5,000 from me.” On top of all that, nothing great came out of a PR company he enlisted to help get his idea out. Khyrie felt discouraged at one point, especially since there was a party planned for family and friends to test out the mockup. After “being taken to the bank” a few months later, the determined grad and novas came across a freelance app designer in Virginia named George on Craigslist of all places. The two met face-to-face and finally, George “created Selfie Faze as you see it today.” Users can download “Selfie Faze” for free with any email address and then send messages using ‘AnYCons’ (which is a custom crop functionality of a photo to emulate an emoji) to one person or a group of people. Other features include a SWaGG (an accompanied written message) and ViBE (an accompanied audio message). Instead of sending “LOL”, a user gets to create an AnYCon of their laughing face and attach a ViBE of audio laughing. The current downfall is only iOS (Apple) market provides the app. In response, Khyrie has started a “Let’s take Selfie Faze Global” campaign where he is trying to raise money so that it can become a course platform application. Do not underestimate that even with the advancements in technology, creating a mobile application still requires work. Instant gratification is non-existent in this business because there is still the step of marketing your product. Khyrie explains,

“All I can do is read up on what I need. So I reached out to some close friends and family to raise money to have flyers and postcards created, a website designed, obtain boards for speaking engagements at schools and churches and definitely social media.” Three fundamental tips that Khyrie lives by and recommend that the younger generation needs to take into account when planning their career path are: • Shine Anyway: Inspire your self-esteem by embracing the skin you’re in. • Believe Anyway: Motivate the entrepreneur in you by not giving up. • Love Anyway: Despite hurt, hate and deceit continue to care and show respect. Khyrie makes it his duty to be fully involved with “Selfie Faze” and takes time to personally connect with his users via emails, social media and on the trains in New York. No matter the location, Khyrie makes it a point to respond as soon as possible. “This is a part of my “Anyway” initiative to inspire, motivate and enhance the inner you,” he says. For such a spiritual man, from humble upbringing, Khyrie thrives on being a role model and believes it’s important to put a smile on people’s faces. According to its young founder, “Selfie Faze’s future looks strong. “It’s going to take over the world in a positive way by ushering in a new wave of self-expressions which set the tone for the tagline,” Khyrie said. “I wrote down everything possible then I said I want to trademark something. I know that “Express Yourself Anyway” is a great slogan,” says Khyrie, which he now proudly owns. Although, Apple finally launched the multicolor emoji, it does lack the ability to represent everyone and their individual expressions. He points out, “An AnYCon is you and anything else you want it to be.” Continue to follow Khyrie Alleyne by visiting: www.khyriealleyne.com and be a part of his journey.

Jokes

> Wife: “How would you describe me?” Husband: “ABCDEFGHIJK.” Wife: “What does that mean?” Husband: “Adorable, beautiful, cute, delightful, elegant, fashionable, gorgeous, and hot.” Wife: “Aw, thank you, but what about IJK?” Husband: “I’m just kidding!” > A teacher is teaching a class and she sees that Johnny isn’t paying attention, so she asks him, “If there are three ducks sitting on a fence, and you shoot one, how many are left?” Johnny says, “None.” The teacher asks, “Why?” Johnny says, “Because the shot scared them all off.” The teacher says, “No, two, but I like how you’re thinking.” Johnny asks the teacher, “If you see three women walking out of an ice cream parlor, one is licking her ice cream, one is sucking her ice cream, and one is biting her ice cream, which one is married?” The teacher says, “The one sucking her ice cream.” Johnny says, “No, the one with the wedding ring, but I like how you’re thinking!” > Two mental patients were walking next to a swimming pool. One jumped into the pool and the other jumped in to save him. Their doctor saw the rescue and called the rescuer to his office. “Due to your actions, it appears your mental state is fine,” the doctor said to the patient, “You can go home to your family, but before you do, you should know that the person you saved hung himself today.” The patient replied, “He didn’t hang himself; I hung him there to dry.” > A man went to his lawyer and told him, “My neighbor owes me $500 and he won’t pay up. What should I do?” “Do you have any proof he owes you the money?” asked the lawyer. “Nope,” replied the man. “OK, then write him a letter asking him for the $5,000 he owed you,” said the lawyer. “But it’s only $500,” replied the man. “Precisely. That’s what he will reply and then you’ll have your proof!”

> A little girl and boy are fighting about the differences between the sexes, and which one is better. Finally, the boy drops his pants and says, “Here’s something I have that you’ll never have!” The little girl is pretty upset by this, since it is clearly true, and runs home crying. A while later, she comes running back with a smile on her face. She drops her pants and says, “My mommy says that with one of these, I can have as many of those as I want!” > Why did I get divorced? Well, last week was my birthday. My wife didn’t wish me a happy birthday. My parents forgot and so did my kids. I went to work and even my colleagues didn’t wish me a happy birthday. As I entered my office, my secretary said, “Happy birthday, boss!” I felt so special. She asked me out for lunch. After lunch, she invited me to her apartment. We went there and she said, “Do you mind if I go into the bedroom for a minute?” “Okay,” I said. She came out 5 minutes later with a birthday cake, my wife, my parents, my kids, my friends, & my colleagues all yelling, “SURPRISE!!!” while I was waiting on the sofa... naked. > A man and woman had been married for 30 years, and in those 30 years, they always left the lights off when having sex. He was embarrassed and scared that he couldn’t please her, so he always used a big dildo on her. All these years she had no clue. One day, she decided to reach over and flip the light switch on and saw that he was using a dildo. She said “I knew it, asshole, explain the dildo!” He said, “Explain the kids!” > A boy says to a girl, “So, sex at my place?” “Yeah!” “Okay, but I sleep in a bunk bed with my younger brother, and he thinks we’re making sandwiches, so we have to have a code. Cheese means faster and tomato means harder, okay?” Later on the girl is yelling, “Cheese cheese, tomato tomato!” The younger brother says, “Stop making sandwiches! You’re getting mayo all over my bed!”

> A woman has an affair during the day while her husband is at work. Her nine-year-old son comes home unexpectedly, sees the illegal lovers and hides in the bedroom cupboard to watch. Then the woman’s husband unexpectedly comes home. She hides her lover in the cupboard, not realizing that her little boy is in there already. The little Boy says: ‘Dark in here.’ The Man says: ‘Yes, it is.’ Boy: ‘I have a soccer ball; do you want to buy it?’ Man: ‘No, thanks.’ Boy: ‘My dad’s outside, I’ll call him if you don’t buy it!’ Man: ‘OK, how much?’ Boy: ‘$250.00.’ A few weeks later it happened again and the boy and the lover were in the cupboard together again. Boy: ‘Dark in here’. Man: ‘Yes, it is.’ Boy: ‘I have soccer boots.’ The Man: remembering the last time, asks Boy: ‘How much?’ The Boy says:’$750.00.’ The Man says: ‘Fine, I will buy them.’ A few days later, the Father says to the boy: ‘Grab your ball and boots, let’s go outside and have a game.’ The Boy says: ‘I can’t, I sold them for $1000.00’ The Father says: ‘That’s terrible to overcharge your friends like that... $1000 is way more than those two things cost. I’m going to take you to church and make you confess your sins.’ They go to church and the father makes the little boy sit in the confession booth and he closes the door. The Boy says: ‘Dark in here.’ The Priest says: ‘Don’t start that sh!t again!’ THIS IS MY CHURCH NOT YOUR FATHER’S HOUSE! > Got tasered picking up my friend from the airport today. Apparently security doesn’t like it when you shout, “Hi Jack!” *Remember these are just jokes and don’t reflect the views of Batchelor Magazine.

Batchelor Advice On love, sex, and relationships... “If you don’t hear from her and you have to constantly reach out to her; chalk it up as a loss”

Q: I’ve been talking to a girl for almost a year, but I’m not feeling her as much as she’s feeling me. How do I break it off without feeling guilty?

Q: If I really like a girl, but she keeps calling me bro and only considers me a friend. How can I let her know my feelings without jeopardizing our friendship?

Q: I’m talking to a girl, but I’m not really feeling her. She introduced me to her friends and cousin, and I’m really feeling her cousin. What should I do?

A: The best advice is Honesty. It will not benefit you to lead this person on, because the longer you spend with her the more unhappy you will be and it’s not worth wasting each other’s time.

A: If you really like this girl; the best thing to do is let her know your true feelings. The longer you wait the more difficult it will be to get out of the friend zone. Women know who they are attracted to fairly quickly, but if you win her heart you might have a chance. It’s always best to try than live with regret.

A: This is a tough situation, because no matter what you do; it won’t end well for one of the parties involved. The best thing to do is end it with the girl you’re talking to and let her know it’s not going to work out. The likelihood of you ever being able to talk to the cousin is slim; especially if they’re close. With that being said; if the cousin is feeling you as well and you guys let it be known upfront. I’ve seen crazier things happen..

Q: I’ve been with girlfriend for years but she still does not trust me; even though I’ve never cheated on her and passed up many beautiful women. How can I can her to trust me? A: Other than cutting off your balls and giving them to her, she probably will never trust you. If you have never given her any reason not to trust you and she still can’t trust you then she might have trust issues. Leave now before it’s too late and save yourself the headache of arguing every night. Q: If I’m suppose to chill with a girl and I text her but don’t hear back from her until hours later, and when she does reply it says something came up maybe another day. Should I take that as a sign she didn’t really want to chill and forget about her? A: This can be taken two ways. Un-excpeted things can arise without notice and monkey wrench in her plans without her intentionally dissing you. A good way you will know if she wants to really chill she will take the initiative to make it happen another day. If you don’t hear from her and you have to constantly reach out to her chalk it up as a loss; she is not interested and is just being nice to you. If a woman really wants to see you nothing will stop her.

Q: I’m dating a guy for almost 3 years and he still hasn’t proposed yet. Should I continue to wait on him? A: Men are not complicated creatures. If you love him and he’s still doing all the right things in the relationship; be patient he might be working towards making it special for you. As long as you’re both on the same page there is no timeframe on marriage. If he’s your soulmate; he’ll make sure to put a ring on your finger. Q: As a woman do you think it’s okay for me to approach men, or should i wait for them to take the initiative? A: In this new generation that we live in; there’s nothing wrong with a lady approaching a man if she’s interested. The old school way of the man courting the woman is still alive, but with women becoming more independent and financially empowered; there’s nothing wrong with you going after what you want. Most men will never turn down a woman talking to them or even asking them to go out for a drink or dinner. On the other hand it’s more likely for a woman to reject a man, so the odds are in your favor.

Q: I’ve been talking to a guy now for almost 5 months and really enjoy his time. When is the right time to tell a person you love them? A: Love is a two way street. There is no time table on love. You can meet someone tomorrow and fall in love in one week. It’s all about the chemistry and the way you both feel when you’re together. It’s a feeling that you’ll have and he will show the same not by words, but by his actions. Q: I’m extremely busy and don’t have much time to meet new people. Do you think using a dating app is a good way to find a soulmate? A: With all the new algorithms they can produce with software, it’s an ideal way to find someone who shares the same sentiments as you. With that being said; anything you do you must always know there will be pros and cons. Dealing with someone through an app you must always try to have some form of communication visually to avoid any false pretense and always use caution when meeting.
