PETER COLLING 2019
Chief financial officer
Colling Media TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Colling encourages professional education and the use of technology, including reporting tools. More specifically, Colling regularly challenges the controller to find innovative ways to improve processes and reporting. All ideas are welcome, recognized and rewarded. Despite a 400 percent growth in billing over the past four years, the size of the staff remains the same. LEADERSHIP: Colling insisted that sales hunters, account manager and delivery team have clear job responsibilities without a significant overlap. Colling quickly identified the problem and worked with the team leaders of each department and provided the CEO a detailed plan to distinguish everyone’s role and responsibility.
THOMAS CASTELLANOS
LARRY COLTHARP
Chief financial officer
Grossman Company Properties
RI International BACKGROUND: Castellanos’s leadership at RI
International, an Arizona-based international not-forprofit organization, has led to rapid, yet thoughtful, growth over the past three years that is unparalleled in the company’s 29 year history; achieving all of this within an evolving healthcare landscape that has landed many similar mental health-focused provider organizations at risk during the past year. LEADERSHIP: When Castellanos arrived at RI International three years ago, the company had 13 days of cash on hand and now remains consistently between 50 and 70 days, even within the current cash pressures of starting recently awarded programs in seven different cities.
