WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST KALILAH BLACK (Ensemble/Understudy Shenzi) is from the Bronx, NY. She holds a B.F.A. from NCA&TSU (AGGIE PRIDE!). She’s so happy to be back on tour after joining the Broadway cast. Some of her favorite past principal regional credits now include A Wonder in My Soul, The Wiz, The Color Purple and Born For This. Sean was a 2017 Joffrey Ballet Winning Works award recipient, creates original work, and teaches master classes around the world. Theatre: The Odyssey; Disney’s Beauty and the Beast; The Wiz; The Winter’s Tale; Roe (Oregon Shakespeare Festival); The First Noel (Kenny Leon’s True Colors); Freak Friday (Horizon Theatre Co.); Black Nativity; For Colored Girls…; Dreamgirls; (Cloverdale Playhouse) and The Color Purple. ERYNN MARIE DICKERSON (Ensemble) began her artistic studies at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, where she was cast in various musical theater productions at the Freud and Geffen Playhouse. She then graduated from Fordham University and the Alvin Ailey school with a B.F.A. and a minor in communications. Since then she has appeared in various print ads, TV shows, commercials, music videos, and films. PAIGE FRASER (Ensemble). A Bronx native and graduate of Ailey/Fordham BFA. She danced professionally with Ailey II, Visceral Dance Chicago and Deeply Rooted Dance Theater. In 2016 she was featured in an Intel commercial. Now he loves also getting to play Scar, Timon, and Pumbaa. He did Tony Kushner’s musical Caroline, or Change in Los Angeles and San Francisco with the original Broadway cast. Tony has performed guest roles on both “Law and Order” (twice) and “Law and Order, SVU.” MUKELISIWE GOBA (Ensemble/Understudy Rafiki) was born in Durban, South Africa. Training: Mbongeni Ngema’s Academy. Credits: K-Cap, Umoja, and The Lion King (Madrid, Gazelle Tour and Broadway). Television: “Code Black,” “Telethon” (France) and “40 Principals” (Madrid). She was a back-up vocalist for South African Gospel star Rebecca Malope. Mukelisiwe thanks her family for their constant support.
