THE COASTAL MUSEUM IN SOGN AND FJORDANE

The Coastal Museum in Sogn og Fjordane is centrally located in Florø, within walking distance of the town centre, and showcases the natural and cultural history of the coast of Sogn og Fjordane. The exhibition halls provide a glimpse of daily life on the coast, the development of the town of Florø, tools used for fishing and hunting, and a unique boat collection with Sunnfjord boats. The museum site lies in a varied coastal landscape. A network of footpaths and bridges makes the area into an open air museum that offers activities for all ages. Sheep and goats graze here in the summer. Enjoy a cup of coffee and coffeefood in their café. Vågsberget in Vågsøy municipality is one of the most complete and well looked-after sites of its kind in Norway, and is situated about 5 km from Måløy.
