THE LION PRIDE The Lakeland Chamber is excited to unveil a collaborative project which several community partners have been working for years to complete. The pandemic influenced the timeline of this project, but the finish line is finally in view. The chamber purchased a pride of five fiberglass lions in 2019. Since then, they have lived in several spaces throughout the city, waiting to be painted, clear coated and installed. We would like to thank the following people for their part in this project: Kevin Bailey – Fireworks City Billy Rodgers – Billy Rodgers, Crye-Leike Chris Woods Construction Ken Spain, Phillips Auto Body Dr. Ted Horrell, LSS Superintendent Michael Walker, Lakeland City Manager Megan Dupuy – Artist, Megan Dupuy Arts LSS Art Teachers: Rachel Nanney Jared Parham Stephanie Robinson The Lion Pride will soon be on display at various locations throughout the city, including City Hall, Lakeland Prep, Lakeland Elementary, IH Park and Fireworks City.
