he town of Richmond is full of beauty and history; once home to several royal families and full of lush open spaces. The Murphy Maude Interiors team drew from these characteristics as inspiration for their 2024 Vesta Home. The Richmond offers luxury and an open concept perfect for entertaining. Carefully selected finishes, furniture and art create an inviting atmosphere, while clean lines and spacious layouts reflect modern living and comfort. As you enter the home, wooden ceilings with beams draw you in though the entry to the kitchen and breakfast nook. The kitchen features custom cabinets with modified shaker doors in a honeycolored stain. Natural textures add life to the space with the cream-colored plaster vent hood and quartz countertops. Off the kitchen you’ll find a scullery which provides even more storage and work space. The family room, located next to the kitchen in the open concept, features a tumbled stone fireplace 86 | At Home Memphis & Mid South • April 2024
with wood accents and built-in shelving: a stunning environment for spending time with family and friends. Natural light pours in from the large sliding glass doors that provide access to the back porch seating area, complete with an outdoor fireplace. In the dining room you’ll find trim work paneling around the room, highlighting a custom mural. Wallcoverings, art and textiles for the home were all provided by Murphy Maude Interiors’ sister company, Mable Originals. Every Mable Originals product begins as a work of art by a local artist. The Murphy Maude Interiors team loves using these pieces to add a bespoke element to their designs. The primary bedroom is light and airy, a perfect spot to relax. A custom recessed bed and neutral geometric wallpaper are the focal points for the room. The primary bath provides respite, with beautiful marble solid surfaces surrounding the soaking tub, and large ceramic tile with the feel of natural slat wood.
