The Princess was in Shropshire for an official Royal visit that saw her unveil a plaque marking the opening of the stateof-the-art Theatre and Oncology building. She was greeted by dozens of enthusiastic staff, patients and visitors. As part of the visit, she also presented the inaugural Dame Agnes Hunt Nursing Medal to Sister Glenna Hardy, a nurse practitioner in the hospital’s Pre-Operative Assessment Unit, and unveiled a special sculpture paying tribute to Percy, a peacock who resided in the hospital grounds for over 20 years. of celebrations to mark the 50-year anniversary of the Oswestry-based hospital’s League of Friends.
