I am an Indigenous producer, creative technologist, and the Chief Innovation Officer at iSPARX™ Group, where I lead projects at the intersection of Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and spatial computing. My focus is on creating immersive digital experiences that are culturally grounded and future-facing. With over 30 years’ experience in artistic production, media, and design, I’ve worked across Aotearoa, Turtle Island and Australia, developing award-winning projects in events, television, and digital media. In the 90's, I was an early innovator in streaming media and digital storytelling, and I continue to push the boundaries through the AR+IQ™ platform - a research driven project exploring how multi user AR experiences affect audience immersion and the suspension of disbelief. My work is rooted in kaupapa Māori values. I prioritise tino rangatiratanga, ecological sustainability, and Indigenous data sovereignty. These principles guide both my personal practice and the operations of iSPARX™, an immersive media agency I co-founded to serve the arts and culture sector with bold innovation and ethical design. I hold a Master of Technological Futures from academyEX, with a focus on cross-generational engagement in augmented reality and cultural storytelling. I work across Auckland, Sydney, Perth and other locations, developing projects that integrate technology, culture and community, with a clear emphasis on long-term outcomes for future generations.
