TSC Counseling and Student Accessibility Resource office provides free counseling to currently enrolled students. Services offered are individual, family, couples, substance abuse, and anger management counseling, as well as skill-building, communication, listening, assertiveness, time management, and organizational skills. Peer tutoring services and review sessions are provided for math, reading, writing, and other subjects. Tutors are certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) and have excellent communications skills, as well as broad knowledge of the subjects they tutor. Remote tutoring is also provided thru BrainFuse, an online tutoring service designed for a paperless campus. They provide immediate and scheduled online tutoring for all TSC students in a variety of subjects, including Composition, College Algebra, and Anatomy & Physiology, to name a few. Students may use their whiteboard feature to collaborate with online tutors; submit essays and questions for review, form online study groups with peers and instructors, and record live tutoring sessions to watch later. To access BrainFuse, students may to their Canvas course and select the “BrainFuse” link at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
