a never-ending winter — on top of the past few years of waves of anxiety, isolation and tragedy on the global stage and at home. We can’t erase the emotional turmoil that this time has burdened humanity with, but we can take care of one another as we navigate life moving forward. Have grace with yourself and others going into the summer. We all deserve some fresh air and positivity where we can find it. This season, I’m embracing alfresco dining, time spent in my garden, weekend mornings at the farmers’ market, road trips to see family and hopefully the chance to jump into Lake Superior. Mostly, I’m trying to stay in the present moment as my daughter grows incredibly quickly right before my eyes. There is nothing more magical than seeing her world expand, one adventure at a time. A few things that are inspiring me this season: Chic English garden style is calling my name. This beautiful bespoke set featuring fabric from Flora Soames’ Pavilion Collection has me rethinking my little outdoor space and embracing the contrast of flora and stripes. Matilda Goad & Co Scallop Linen Napkins are the perfect pop of color to contrast against my burl wood dining room table and incorporate a bit of maximalism. I’m currently on a mission to have fewer, better things in my home. I’ve been loving handmade ceramics for both their beauty and function. Rachel Saunders Ceramics’ elegant pieces often sell out quickly because they’re so highly sought after. Keep an eye out for new creations from this interdisciplinary artist. The Of Gardens Candle by Moro Dabron is both a beautiful decorative vessel and a remarkable home scent with top notes of bergamot, lemon and neroli. Once the wax has melted down, the stoneware vase is perfect for a few short garden clippings or is a standout simply displayed on its own year-round.
