INDIVIDUAL WORK: The students were inspired by the painter Carlo Carra and they reproduced some of his paintings , the “Marina” and ‘Il pino sul Mare”.

“The bottom of the sea” TEAM WORK: The students created the sea’s bottom with cardboard, aquarelle, rice paper, shells, ribbons.

“The sea” INDIVIDUAL WORK: With the linoleum was created a resistant area on the paper, so the color won’t paint the drawing lines.
The students chose the blue colour and the paintings’ topics from the sea, the dolphins, the ships.

“The Cyprus” TEAM WORK: With this technique everyone can create a composition by sewing various fabrics and other materials between them, on durable fabric as a base.
The patchwork presents a seascape with the Cyprus sea: the sea turtle, the Aphrodite’s birth, the Petra of Romiou, the Kerinia’s ship, the hotels , the abandoned houses and the Cyprus, the island is bronze because the habitants sold bronze in ancient years. E’class, Ergates Elementary School-CYPRUS

INDIVIDUAL WORK: The student (Arthur) painted animals from the wildlife of Baltic Sea, the “European Herring Gull" and the "Ringed Seal" .

“The fantasia” TEAM WORK: The students painted with mixed techniques ( aquarelle, markers, collage) and they created their own bottom.

“Our Magnificent sea” TEAM WORK: The collage describes the Madeira seascape. The sun reminds the school’s village name (the Ponta do Sol), the sea wolf is a rare species, the typical boat of Camara de Lobos, the “xavelha” , the fishes : dourada and golden. and the fish star

In the painting of tiles, the creator focuses on a separated point of his idea and he presents it. Here, the sea around the Madeira islands is presented in pieces and as a completed project by using cardboard, oil pastel, acrylic paint and markers.

This catalogue includes the students’ paintings that they were created for the e-twinning project : ”The sea travels us!” The sea is a common point of the participant countries and it influences every place and every person in a different way. The project gave to the students the opportunity to learn more about painters, the Art’s History and the art techniques. Also, it helped to cooperate European students and to shared good practices.
