HOT TUB, SWIM SPA & WELLNESS NEWS

Quantum SPA – It’s Here And Available From Certikin First there was Quantum for pools, now Certikin International has added Quantum SPA to its portfolio which, like its forerunner, uses the same ceramic Nano Crystal technology, to give spas and hot tubs unparalleled crystal-clear water. As one of the most powerful sanitisers in the marketplace, Quantum SPA, manufactured by Elecro Engineering, has the power to sterilise sewage into drinking water without chemicals. Using the Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) to eliminate microorganisms and contaminants in the spa water, the photocatalytic oxidation is a natural process and is used in advanced scientific industries such as hospitals and wherever ‘ultra-pure water’ is essential. Indeed, this technology was used to clean up the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. As the UV light strikes the nano crystals which are coated in a special titanium dioxide, the natural process of photocatalytic oxidation and production of hydroxyl radicals occurs. This oxidises and destroys any pollutant, whether biological or non-biological, close to the catalyst’s surface with the water vortexing through the chamber. The Quantum is the only unit in the pool and spa industry to encompass this technology at a costeffective level. Quantum SPA is super-safe and offers superior performance at reduced levels of power consumption. It works in conjunction with all pool and spa chemicals at reduced levels 0.5ppm (80-90% reduction of chemical use); electrolysis/ ionisers; saltwater chlorinators and in swimming ponds or natural pools. It can also be used independently – with an optional dosing version for use with liquid chlorine or hydrogen peroxide. All models are IP65 rated and can be installed outside. Jacuzzi Announce 60% Increase In Sales Figures For The Last Year

The J-225™ classic 4/5-person hot tub saw an 875% increase in sales

Leading hot tub and hydrotherapy specialist, Jacuzzi, has reported a huge 60% year-on-year growth in sales for its range of hot tubs. The first spike in sales for Jacuzzi came in May 2020 after the initial pandemic lockdown. Many consumers decided to invest in their property and with most Jacuzzi products being predominantly outdoor based, all installations could still go ahead. Comparing sales in May 2021 to May 2020, Jacuzzi saw an 875% increase in sales of the J-225™ classic 4/5-person hot tub, ideal for installation in areas with limited space. A 473% increase in sales of the J-235™ was also recorded, a model which features 35 total jets, 12 of which are found in the coveted lounge seat as well as five other seating positions with hydrotherapy options. The J-335™ saw a 368% increase, a hot tub boasting 40 PowerPro® jets which deliver an effective hydromassage across the entire body, whilst further features include four illuminated massage headrests and a ProLite™ LED lighting system. Simon Firmin, CFO at Jacuzzi, said: “It’s great to see such a strong demand for our products, on a rolling 12-month basis for Jacuzzi Spa & Bath we’ve seen a 60% growth in delivered sales for the 12 months to the end of May 2021, compared to the equivalent 12-month period up to May 2020. “July 2020 saw a dip in sales when factories had to close for a period. However, supply recovered and, where we would usually see a reduction in October onwards due to the traditional seasonal nature of our sales, this year it stayed at peak summer levels.” Jacuzzi Spa & Bath Ltd 0113 272 7430 www.jacuzzi.co.uk
