Compass partnered with The Nicholas Center, inviting their realtors to make a holiday donation. The response was overwhelming, resulting in boxes and boxes of diapers! Port Provides offers donations of items to local food pantries not covered by the SNAP program (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) such as cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items, including much-needed diapers. “As a resident and business owner, I feel a strong commitment and responsibility to give back to our community and assist those in need,” shared Traci Conway Clinton of Compass Realty. “I take great pride in my team at Compass for their recent initiative to partner with The Nicholas Center and the pantry program, Port Provides Powered by The Nicholas Center for this year’s Holiday Diaper Drive helping local families struggling to afford basic needs. Morning Movies With The Guidance Center “Morning Movies with the Guidance Center,” North Shore Child & Family Guidance Center’s annual family-friendly fundraiser, brought the community together for an enjoyable morning of popcorn, bagels, drinks, and a choice of three movies: Barbie, Kung Fu Panda 4, and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. “We all know that children and teens are experiencing issues like depression, anxiety, and even suicidal thinking more than ever before, and that’s why I’m proud to support the Guidance Center’s lifesaving work,” said Jeffrey Greenblatt, one of the event’s co-chairs and a Guidance Center Board Member. “Plus, my family had a wonderful morning, and I get to set an example for my three daughters. Local Hamilton College Student Melissa Scala Named To NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team Melissa Scala of Manhasset was recently named to the 2024 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) winter all-academic team for women’s swimming and diving. The recognition honors sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Scala, a sophomore majoring in biology,
is a graduate of Manhasset High School. The NESCAC, established in 1971, includes 11 highly selective colleges and universities located in the Northeast, and sponsors 27 conference championship sports. Hamilton is home to 29 intercollegiate varsity teams and competes at the NCAA Division III level. Roughly a third of the
College’s 2,000 undergraduate students participate in at least one varsity sport.
