Expands its Service Department

There are reasons why the dealership has received numerous awards for their work. One of the core reasons why is their award-winning Service Department.
The staff, led by Service Manager Justin Olivo, has five Master Technicians amongst their 18 technicians ready to diagnose and service troubled vehicles. They prefer to have two to three Master ASE Technicians on at all times to ensure nothing gets missed.
General Manager John Durrani said one of the other ways they help customers is pricing out their services. He said that makes quite a difference.
“We not only shop the area Toyota dealerships, but other dealerships to ensure our prices remain competitive with the market,” he said.
Because of the increased work demands, Durrani said they are currently seeking technicians to help with the workload. While it is not a requirement to have dealership experience, having worked in a smaller shop is a plus. Toyota will pay for training of staff and time to learn the craft. As for inventory, they still welcome patrons to trade in their used vehicles. High demand and low inventory have made the ask crucial, the general manager said.
To help facilitate the need for more certified, pre-owned vehicles onto their lot, Toyota of Smithfield offers 115% of the book value for any used cars. It does not matter whether the customer decides to purchase a car from their lot, Durrani said.
“We will buy your trade, even if you don’t purchase a car from us,” he added.
Customers may also take advantage of their final Private Sales event of 2022. The December event takes place on Friday, December 30 and Saturday, December 31, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM by appointment only. Those who attend will be expected to follow social guidelines but also have access to their inventory. Managers will be there to answer questions and offer additional incentives.
