Andrew Byer

Andrew Byer Attorney born in 1962 in Jersey City, New Jersey, enjoyed a vibrant childhood influenced by his Italian immigrant mother. After completing his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Columbia University in 1984, Andrew expanded his international perspective by participating in a study abroad program in France. He initially served as Lease Administrator and Legal Counsel for the Miracle Marketplace shopping mall in Coral Gables. He handled complex lease negotiations and maintained tenant relationships, which sharpened his legal and negotiation skills. Andrew's career took a pivotal turn in 1990 when he became the Director of Operations for Maria Pia, an Italian shoe manufacturer needing to wind down its U.S. operations. His role required managing the liquidation of the company's U.S. assets and settling its affairs, tasks he handled with skill thanks to his fluency in Italian and deep understanding of business law. His expertise in international business was further solidified from 1991 to 1994 while working as General Counsel and Director of International Sales for Intracorp, Inc., a firm that produced video gaming software. There, he secured critical licensing agreements with Hollywood studios, which helped the company penetrate international markets. In 1994, Andrew leveraged his extensive experience to open the Law Offices of Andrew Alexander Byer, focusing on assisting European businesses in navigating the complexities of the U.S. market. His firm became known for its strategic and legal acumen, supported by Andrew's multilingual abilities and keen insight into international law.
