EAGLE, CO

Frost Creek

“From day one, we focused our attention on what makes Frost Creek different from other clubs. We have a worldclass Tom Weiskopf designed course, but great golf is implied” , says Mike Gibbs, General Manager of Frost Creek.

To complement the Weiskopf-designed golf course, the 40,000 square foot clubhouse, pool, tennis and sport courts, Frost Creek began adding amenities endemic to living and recreating in the Rocky Mountains.

With more than 10 ponds on site, the club bought several stand up paddle boards (SUP) and designated a specific pond on site for their use. The “swimming pond” was then outfitted with a deck, gazebo, and floating swimming platform. Adding a “beach” was the final touch. SUP yoga classes are a regular part of the summer programming and have become extremely popular with the members.

Frost Creek also has exceptional fishing for all skill levels and disciplines with fishing rod and tackle available for use. Five stocked fishing ponds (three of which are fly fishing only) provide a fun and un-intimidating way for children and rookies to learn the craft or for experienced anglers to hone their skills.

Next was the addition of a fleet of bicycles, a disc golf course, an archery range, four miles of new soft surface mountain biking, trail running, hiking trails and the two yurts for “glamping” or glamour camping. If that’s not enough to keep members busy, croquet, bocce ball, slacklining and electric fat bikes are also available.

For National Members who do not own real estate at Frost Creek or their guests, the ability to “stay and play” is made easy with Frost Creek’s ten on site member cabins and two luxury yurts made available for rent year-round and are large enough to accommodate large or extended families.

Red Sky Golf Club

Ranked as the #1 and #2 courses in Colorado by Travel + Leisure Golf, the Tom Fazio and Greg Norman designed courses weave through 800 acres of historic ranchlands filled with sage, aspen groves and mountain vistas.

Tom Fazio’s design measures 7,113 yards (Par 72) and merges majestic vistas of Vail’s Back Bowls with a variety of terrain to gratify all skill levels. Players will make their way through open sage covered hills, dense aspen forest and around a highland lake.

Fazio’s team has taken particular care to maintain the site’s indigenous vegetation, relocating more than 23,000 native plants for re-planting throughout the course.

Like his career, Greg Norman’s reputation as a course designer is characterized by a zeal for achievement.

Craggy rock outcroppings, twisted knots of scrub oak, rugged gulches, and wildflower meadows all contribute to an unparalleled wilderness golf experience on this 7,580-yard (Par 72) course. Red Sky Ranch offers something for everyone with year round social events and activities for the entire family.

Country Club of the Rockies EDWARDS,

In addition to world-class golf on a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, the Club also offers its members and guests award-winning dining at VISTA, a nationally recognized Golf Shop and year-round activities that enrich lives, build relationships and encourage healthy living.

Arrowhead at Vail and Country Club of the Rockies were originally conceived in 1980 by local developer Jen Wright. The site was chosen because of its relatively flat terrain for ease of development of a golf course, attributes of the Eagle River and McCoy Creek, potential for ski terrain, and the proximity to Vail and Beaver Creek Resorts. Initial plans included a private residential community with a highly regarded golf course for individuals that came to the Vail Valley to ski but desired to return for the summer due to the incredible climate.

Country Club of the Rockies has recently completed a $14M renovation of the clubhouse including the addition of a health and fitness wing and two golf simulators.
