How did you get started in the world of Purebred Spanish Horses? My grandfather was a horse breeder, and horses have been a natural environment for me since birth. But when I was 12 years old, my parents bought a house in Spain. While looking for summer activities, my brother and I found a stable close to our Spanish home. The owner of the stable gave us Spanish horses to ride in the countryside, and that was all it took to fall in love with this horse race. Then, when I was making my own money, I bought my first PRE horse, to teach my daughter to ride, since I felt PREs were the safest horses in the world.
How many PRE horses are there at your stud farm? Presently, I have eight PRE horses in my name, four living at my farm. Your best stallion/mare/foal is: This is a very challenging question to answer. But as they say, knowledge comes with experience. Therefore, every new stallion, mare, foal and colt is expected to be better that the previous one. My latest colt, Nevado Sun, is expected to be my top of the line stallion as far as character, functionality, health, beauty, and size are concerned. Nevertheless, my first black stallion, now 37 years of age and still going strong, continues to hold a very special place in my heart. 40
