Things to remember
We know this is a lot of information. Here are the really important things to remember:
• Babies at 12–23 months of age have different needs in terms of how much, how often to feed them, and what texture is best for them. Look at the charts on pages 150 for guidance.

• Remember that four different foods groups each day is the goal.
• Recipes with the “family icon” mean that they are healthy meals perfect for your whole family.
• You can start including animal milk (blue food group) in your child’s diet.
• You should continue to breastfeed as you are introducing foods to your baby.
