Alon Rosin
Alon Rosin has spent decades developing expertise across institutional trading, derivatives strategy, and portfolio management within the financial industry. He currently serves as Managing Director and Head of US Institutional Equity Derivatives at Oppenheimer & Co., where he leads the firm’s institutional derivatives business and advises buy-side clients on complex options strategies. Alon built a distinctive career by working on both the buy side and sell side of the institutional investing world. This combination provided him with practical knowledge of how professional investors manage liquidity, volatility, and market risk under pressure. His background as both a trader and an advisor enabled him to understand client challenges better while developing a reputation for disciplined execution and strategic market insight across different economic cycles. Alon earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1997, graduating Cum Laude. During his university years, he also achieved Dean’s List recognition for academic performance. After graduation, he joined the Sales and Trading training program at Salomon Brothers, where he entered the highly competitive institutional finance environment and began building the professional foundation that would shape his future career in trading and derivatives. Alon Rosin later gained significant experience on the buy side while working with hedge funds, including J. Goldman & Co. and Diamondback Capital. Serving as both a portfolio manager and a senior trader, he focused on market opportunities, portfolio positioning, and risk management.
