19, 2016, after a long illness, which he never let define him. Ian maintained a wonderful attitude and strong sense of determination throughout. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Livingston. He is also survived by his parents, Gerald and Judith Adler, his sister, Marlo (Evan) Feldman, Jennifer's parents, Andrew and Anne Livingston, Jennifer's sisters, Julie (Jeffrey) Echt, Karen (Craig) Lewis, and eight nieces and nephews, all of whom loved and adored him greatly.

Ian was the Senior Director of Healthcare at Marwood Group, where he was responsible for overall healthcare strategy and policy for the past 15 years. His family, Allen-Stevenson classmates, many friends and colleagues shared a mutual admiration for Ian's loving, generous and genuine character. Ian received a Masters of Public Administration in Healthcare Financial Management and Policy from New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Skidmore College. Contributions in Ian's name may be made to the LeukemiaLymphoma Society and The Bone Marrow Foundation.

William Thurston Sargent, Jr. '98, beloved son of William T. Sargent and Julie T. Sargent, died tragically on January 25. He was 33. Will was born in New York City on November 6, 1982. He attended the Allen-Stevenson School, the Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts, and Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he joined the Sigma Mu Sigma fraternity. From a young age, Will had a larger than life persona that overflowed with intelligence and foolery, as evidenced by his being voted "wittiest" in the Ninth Grade and "class clown" in high school. He was known for frequent and spontaneous performances featuring song, stand-up comedy and performance art.

Will was a gifted entertainer whose outgoing manner and edgy physicality also helped him excel as an athlete. He played varsity football and lacrosse in high school and represented his home town as a member of the New York City lacrosse team that competed in the 2000 Empire State Games. Will loved playing pick-up basketball in Central Park, ice hockey at Chelsea Piers, and throwing a football on Randall's Island, where Allen-Stevenson held athletic games and practices. An avid outdoorsman, he also loved skiing, fishing and hunting. Will's thirst for adventure led him to places like Alaska, Spain and an Outward Bound trip through Chile. His favorite destination was his family's home in Hyannis Port, Mass., where he had a loyal contingent of lifelong friends. An aspiring entrepreneur, Will began working in sales at hospitality software company Revinate in 2012. The following year, he traveled to the company's Amsterdam office to train members of its European sales team. An artist at heart, Will was endlessly creative, writing songs, playing the guitar and singing for friends and family. Will also had a unique and instinctual sense of fashion that combined traditional elegance with casual preppiness. On a dance floor, his graceful presence felt reminiscent of an earlier era. Will loved delicacies like Scottish salmon and caviar but was also known for his sweet tooth. He had particular weaknesses for Nutella, meringue cookies, and the jingle of an ice cream truck. He will be deeply mourned by his parents, adoring sister, Kimball Gardner Sargent, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Will's family asks that donations be made in his name to the Allen-Stevenson School Athletic Department.
