“I love doing what I do .” When Lillian Jones speaks those words, you know instantly that she means them. A family development specialist at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Sto-Rox Family Center in McKees Rocks, ‘Lil’ has worked there for 26 years. It’s not just a job for her — it is part of the fabric of her life.

“I come from a large family. I was born and raised in McKees Rocks. I’m proud to say I am a Roxian,” said Jones, who is a mother of three, a grandmother of 11 and a great-grandmother of six. However, Jones’ family isn’t limited to those who share her blood. “I wouldn’t give up the co-workers that I have for anything in the world,” Jones said. “They’re more like family than they are co-workers.” Allegheny Intermediate Unit • aiu3.net
