Criminology - WJEC Level 3 Applied Diploma Overview Overview

Crime is increasing. Crime rates, however, are falling. How can we explain such a phenomena? Criminology looks to answer these discrepancies within society. Through your study of Criminology you will explore different types of crime, reasons why people commit crime, what we do with offenders and different theories of rehabilitation. Your work will be assessed by controlled assessment (50%) and examination (50%).

Entry Requirements Criminology can lead to a variety of careers within the criminal justice system and beyond. There are jobs in the Probation Service, Police and Forensic Psychology to name a few.

Entry Requirements 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4, including English Language
